old noob

Greetings from Saskatoon SK! been lurking here and there, I'm Steven and have a Pure Red '16 Limited on the way, hopefully here in a few weeks. didn't beat the dealer up on price much but got a set of studded winters on steelies included in the deal as this will be my DD (also just got a truck for my wife).
No mods planned yet but planning a major road trip which may change that plan (14000 km, east coast and back)

Hey everyone, been on the forum for a while now, but just picked up my car on Monday. It's a 2016 Subaru BRZ Limited! I live in Los Angeles and travel through Koreatown, Los Feliz, Glendale, Pasadena and Burbank regularly.

Don't forget to say hello

Hi all. UK owner (and resident here). I've had a new BRZ since November 2015 and have done 2,000 miles since. The car is quite a rare site here, Subaru only bring around 300 cars to the UK each year meaning there is only something like 1,000 here in total.

The main reason I've come to this forum is because I found your topic on back ache which is something I've not read about in the UK, but is unfortunately something I've experienced.

I've not really had a chance to enjoy this car due to back ache but hoping this is going to improve, either that or the car will be going.

Prior to the BRZ I had an Alfa 156 (for 13 years until it was written off by a neighbour driving into the side of it), a BMW 325i Coupe for 2 years which I really liked but got an opportunity to get a car I've always wanted, a TVR Griffith so I did. This was not compatible with me due to it giving me head aches, which lead me to a car that gives me back ache.

Think I'll be returning to BMW if I can't get past the back ache problem.

Totally get the back aches, I'm 29 and still feel the pain of getting in and out of the BRZ. If you're looking for something comfortable, the BRZ/FRS probably isn't for you. However, there are a lot of sports cars that are more comfortable. I suggest you test drive your next pick more than once. A BMW or Mercedes would be on my short list of comfortable sports cars, but if you're into Subarus, the WRX is much more comfortable. My wife drives one, and as much as I hate the clutch, it's pretty comfy.

Hey guys, new BRZ owner here,

I'd been looking at the 86 platform for quite sometime, and I was sold when I sat in my buddy's 2015 Series Blue BRZ.

I couldn't Shell out the cash for a used series blue, or a brand-new hyper blue. So I decided to look for a used, SWP Limited BRZ.

For some reason I loved the white, and due to my "luxurious" tastes, it had to be a Limited.

I searched for a good few months, and I was able to find many Subaru's that were limited, but not white, and many that were white but not Limited! Or manual!

I finally settled for a Carmax Transport from Baltimore. 2014 SWP Limited 6MT, and just under 25k miles.

Unfortunately she's got the crickets, and a few scuffs on the front bumper from the previous owner DDing it, but it'll make due. The interior is flawless.

As for build wise, I think I'm going to be copying the Series.Blue setup with the lip garnishing. But I'll also put my own touch on it with some wheels and tires as well as some coils and exhaust down the road.

Here's when I picked her up from the dealership!

Congrats! Color is the least important thing to me, but the white looks much better than the rest IMO. Not upset with the Lightning Red, but white would've been the first choice if I had to pick.

Thanks man!

I really liked the Lightning Red color, solely because I've NEVER actually seen one in person.

Unfortunately I was incredibly picky with what I wanted, which forced me to pay a little more than I wanted to. But it was worth it IMO.

Hello fellow FT86ers! My name is Alberto and I am the proud owner of a 2014 Satin White Pearl BRZ. I have been lurking on the forums since I purchased the car back in December 2015 and I have finally decided to say hello and contribute to the forums. My last car was a slightly modified Nismo 370z, which was an awesome car but lacked a certain amount of involvement. The BRZ has it's own faults, but with every corner I conquer, I am reminded of one of the reasons I fell in love with the car. Anyways, that's a story for another thread. Just wanted to stop by to say hello and let the modding begin.

*That's my old Z in the background. I hope she found a good owner.

Hey Everyone, just got my first BRZ the other day. before this I drove a jetta as a DD, it didn't really cut it for me. Seeing as how I was in a position to get a different car, I decided on the our beloved BRZ. Still getting used to how the clutch works, completely different from my previous. Hope to share good times with everyone here.
Cheers!
