Some of those top guys are aliens, they are not human, don't worry about it.

I think the biggest thing is they can consistently put in the fast laps without making mistakes. I have the same issue, I will be up .3-.5 and make a mistake. If I look at my optimal lap, rarely is it not much faster than my actual fastest lap.

Like Laz was mentioning, the S curve section is where most of the time is lost. Every time after that, whenever the ghost resets, I am able to stay within the 0.7 second window. Im also sure they play with TC because other than left foot braking, I can't explain how they're able to get on the throttle so fast. Here I am tring to keep the car within limits and making the tires scream, and the ghost is just cruising thru the S section.

I also caved in and ordered a Load Cell brake. Brake force by distance rather than pressure just feels so unnatural to me.

I got the NSX into gold. I think I am going to go into it today and see what I can do with the RCF. I already got gold with it, but I had a much easier time with it then the NSX.

Gold got moved to a 1:51.755….. I gave that lap my absolute all. I can’t even begin to say how many laps I’ve done in this track.

I think the lap I managed to break improve my time, I did it out of spite. It is such a technical track where the margin of error has to be near zero.

Damn somebody went faster? I just did the GR1 race a Suzuka last night in the 919 and I was only in the low 47's, I don't know how guys are going so fast in the GR2. Granted I was on a no stop so lots of fuel saving, but still.

Plus medium tires. The lap tutorial I watched, the guy ran a 1:48 I believe, but with RS tires. Truly mind blowing.

Did the final GR race last night. Whoa, challenging. First time I tried I qualified 14th and finished 11th. Didn't lose control at all, but did incur a few of those stupid short cut penalties. 2nd attempt I qualified 14th (woof) and got a nice short cut penalty on the inside of turn 1 after being hit there by someone else (?!?!?!). Then spun out spectacularly (all by myself) making the left after the Esses. Finished 14th, hah.

3rd (and final) attempt I got an easier room and qualified 2nd. Was my fastest Q time to date but still would have been mid-pack at best in the earlier races. P1 and myself pulled away from the pack pretty quickly, despite P1 fishtailing wildly through the first half of the track (he apparently didn't adjust to cold tires well). I had no chance to pass a sideways car so rather I just gave him little boost bumps when things straightened out. IMO this seemed like the best way to not yield any time to P3, etc. P1 gained a few tenths on me every lap and I finished 3 1/2 seconds back. Zero errors, zero penalties. I felt pretty happy.

Still fighting the damn Daytona GR1 menu book race. I hate it so much. Been using the 919 as it is giving me the best lap times, just slow on the straights. Was able to win the other 2 no problem.

Is that the GR Corollas at Road Atlanta race? I thought that was Sunday only, didn't check if it was still running. Anyhow I got the free car so I don't have to do it!

I totally forgot about it and figured I missed my shot at getting the GRC early. But I logged in last night to see if I got any bonuses from other races and to my surprise I had the GRC! I guess just doing the free practice got it for you.

I'll have to check when ever I boot up GT7 again, but I'm pretty sure you would have had to get at least 1 point in the GR league. I never got to race since it always falls on a day I'm working, so I don't think I got a free GRC.

Correct the race was Sunday only (sorry if my post was confusing about that). I may be biased, but I love driving this car in GT7. So fun. Did a lap around the Ring last night and followed it up with a lap in the Mk5 Supra. Supra felt so soft and bloated in comparison. Was still 10 seconds faster but I'm surprised at the contrast (of course it's just a game LOL).

Won $5,800,000 in the GR Cup as well. Not too shabby! (plus the Toyota LeMans racer as well, earlier in the season)

Yeah man take a look - I didn't so much as touch my PS4 Sunday and I got it. Only ever did a few laps of free practice. Maybe a bug hopefully they don't take it back

I agree it's quite a fun car to drive. My go-to for getting to know a car is taking it to the 'ring. It's rare that I go on to a 2nd lap just because I'm enjoying it and want to, and I did with this car.

Handling isn't as silly as the GR Yaris, which I honestly never really enjoyed driving much in GT7. Maybe that tracks a little with real life, where everyone pins the GRY as this fun hooligan, but the GRC is knocked for not oversteering, too boring.

Also, 5.8 mil!? Was that like total winnings from a bunch of races + some bonuses for partaking? That was another reason I was able to let go of online racing. Back in GT6 quick match days online races paid out crazy bank. Since GTS, peanuts.
