e85, or not? base stage 1 on e85 could get you a low 12, high 11 on slicks.

On our twins, I think at least half of getting a good 1/4 mile time depends on how hard you're willing to launch the car.

I assumed 93 octane. He is right you can push the GT2871R to over 400 whp and do 12s no problem on E85.

Radiator and shroud

Is it necessary for no track use to run a fbm radiator and shroud in Texas?

Sorry if it's been asked but I couldn't find

Hey guys I need your help! my car doesn't seem to be creating any boost. I have looked and made sure my boost side piping is nice and tight. I can hear the turbo spin but my car doesn't want to go. Feels stock if not worse when at high rpms. my AFR gauge shows low numbers (9-10) when full on throttle. please help!

Are you running a boost gauge? If not you should. Have you done a leak down test? If not, you should.

As I would love to say I am, my AEM wideband failsafe gauge came with a t-line and hose that is way too small to connect to my larger vacuum line unfortunately. \I just installed the gauge today. Ill have to figure something out about an adaptor. If you could go into further detail about a leak down test?

Hi. The leak test is quite straight forward. I just got a piece of plumbing pipe that was the same size as the connection to the airbox. (I don't have a FBM kit so you would need to figure out the best place to make the connection).
The pipe was capped off and a tyre valve was inserted into the cap. I then connected and air compressor which supplied a little more pressure than the amount of boost you anticipate making.
Any leaks will become very apparent. Any small leaks can be found using a spray bottle with water and detergent to make bubbles.

Mechanics who deal with this sort of stuff would probably already have something made up.

It is definitely a worthwhile exercise for any new installations even for those people who don't have problems (or realise it yet)

Good luck mate.
