Early on before the kit was released Kpower said they weren't running an oil cooler and I believe others are finding out it just doesn't require the same cooling as the fa20.

In fact, is there a chance of undercooling the oil? If I understand things correctly there's a temp range that's most ideal under stress and we may be considerably below it a lot of the time.

I pulled the 25 row Setrab out of mine last week since oil temps weren't making it over 185f (one among a few reasons). I've got two events this upcoming weekend, we will see how it does.

Y'all might wanna check this gasket. Had it on since december 2021 and never noticed the HUGE air leak. No wonder the supercharger only made 8lbs last year.

What TB are you using? Also can you flip the gasket 180? When I changed from the stock fa20 TB to the 74mm I don't recall the cutout on the gasket. I'll dig through my spares and see if it's there or not.

This was between the adapter and the manifold. Did I put the wrong gasket on?

That's an OEM style B-series gasket, KPower made one that has the extra passages removed

https://kpower.industries/products/b...le-body-gasket

The KPower 74mm adapter to TB gasket isn't even worth using, if you've got that, guarantee it is leaking too - replace it with a hand cut gasket. The KPower BRZ adapter to TB gasket needs to be trimmed out with a razor blade or it eats a solid 2mm of inlet size once torqued.

Looks like my gasket had the same cutout but it was flipped and sealed fine. I'd post a pic but this dang forum requires image hosting from another site. Uggh.

Results from pulling oil cooler.

PB lap / TT5 lap record and previous session in ~80f ambient data displayed. Previous session was 60% out lap, five laps within ~1 sec of PB, and cool down lap. 216f was peak oil temp, no heat exchanger, no oil cooler.

Secure and wrap your engine wiring harness where it runs near the coils, mine wore through the Raychem and into the bundle of wires.

I'm going to call KPower tomorrow about a replacement engine harness minus injector subharness since I also had a couple of main pins come uncrimped. I've got events in a couple of weeks, fun stuff. With any luck they've got one in stock and with any greater luck I can get some kind of discount since they are $1600.

If not... well. https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.p...facturer_id=45

I have been waiting on my engine harness since November. So might be a good idea to have a backup plan.
