Hey Y'all! I've been off doing all sorts of stuff for a while, good to check in and see quite a few familiar folks. Lesson of the week: don't drive drowsy:
I'm fine, car had over $4900 in repairs

@Dimman hmmmm how is this watch? http://www.seagullwatch.com/proview.asp?id=278
I kind of want it, but not available in the US. I can get the M201S but that one has the older lettering which isn't as sexy. ST18 is an ETA2892 clone, that watch is 8mm thick! Only 1mm more than the Patek I saw. Unfortunately that price tag is pretty high... |

@6-Shift you fell asleep at the wheel!?
Glad you're okay! I would have your units pick up that tab. Is there anyway you could get a new one instead? Not sure about the price difference at this point but 5k is a decent amount in repairs |

Whilst looking online for a scale so I can start weighing car parts, I discovered this:
Accuteck DreamBlack A scale with a capacity of 86 pounds. Seems so appropriate...

so yeah, I did fix her, and got some more runs in. That was my best run after I became paranoid that I was gonna break the belt again

I can't even complain about knocking off anything, since that styling was popular with many brands' dress watches, and the ETA movements have been off patent for a while (something the Swiss do too). What's the price conversion work out to? I thought you have an uncle or relative working there, could ship it to you? Edit: Is that $750!?! Edit 2: For that money, why don't you look at a Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic. Similar to the 819 styling. (Yes, a Swatch.)
