With 15k I'd do new shocks and springs, maybe brakes (I kind of want steel clad aluminum rotors for double heat capacity per unit mass but they are very expensive ), C60 transmission, VIS carbon hardtop (would try to make my own window for improved aero and lower cost though), VIS carbon hood/trunk. Okay I'm at ~6-7k? 2ZZ swap is iffy for Cali smog...Maybe just some new cams and a machined head for higher compression would do. An Apexi PFC would be fun but seeing how the entire 1ZZ shortblock is utterly useless there wouldn't be much of a point. The next step up would be my 1NZ idea, bored to 1.6L, high comp pistons, find someone to make me some 300M rods, spin it to 8500rpm with an Apexi PFC, which can be replaced with the stock 1ZZ ECU for a nice happy smog experience. Mmm I don't know anything about BMWs but could it be an oil control ring problem? The earlier 1ZZs burn tons of oil because of oil control ring problems, possibly something that could be resolved by running MMO or Auto RX for a while in the oil. |

so the girl went out and bought me something before she came over today. I convinced her to let me take a goofy pic of it.

What is it about this car that entices morons to just fuck with you?
For example, was just roaming around my area a little bit ago and decided to drive some of the back roads. I was doing the speed limit which is 40 for this area and no passing. Stupid SUV comes out of nowhere and rides my ass. It wasn't a cop because it was a Hyundai. Starts riding my ass and then decides to pass me anyway. They get in front of me and then hit the brakes and decide to do 25 in front of me all the way until they turned off. Shit like this happens a lot to me in my area since I got this car. Never had so many morons driving my S10 or Grand Caravan. |

![]() Okay... Bingo. Although I am going to try. I need a house though. I'll definitely have both, the question is: nice house and slow car - or - a house and fast car.

@Dimman man should I just get one of these?
http://www.good-stuffs.com/Sea-Gull-...atic_p_46.html Shittier movement and not that great finishing, not sapphire crystal, but gives the douchebag look for days when I feel like it? Holds me over till my 351 is repaired. I'd like an ETA2892/ST1812 powered thin dress watch but they are quite expensive :/ |

No you should not. (Speaking of which, did you look at the porn watches in the link of my edited post? The Ferrari one needs a new word to describe the level of douchiness.)

@serialk11r
I kinda like this one: Not much more than that garish skeleton. I'm not sure how I feel about the offset sub-seconds. But I have a 'thing' for sub-seconds.

Hey, at least that watch is better than spending 185 on a Swatch skeleton that can't even be serviced (they can't do crystal replacements on Swatches...makes you wonder how much is servicable, 0%?). I can't believe they charge >100 bucks for a shoddy plastic cased quartz movement watch, but I guess they are the biggest business around. |

They have some fancy indefinite license on the use of LiquidMetal for watches. Or some bullshit like that. LiquidMetal would be a huge boon for small scale/boutique case and bracelet making, but they locked it up with $ and waste the tech on just decorating Omega bezels. And their super movement maker ETA had to buy the rights to the Co-Axial escapement from a British guy who made them by himself manually.
