October 2005, 'twas a very fine year. BF2 came out.

Right now I'm pissed about Gasoline prices. I'm watching E85 prices and they finally drop the price below $3 a gallon. Then Gasoline drops to $3.32 a gallon for the pig swill. Good spread gone.

It's about time to fill up too...

One of the best stories I've heard had to do with a kid in hs who got honor roll all the time, worked 40+ hours a week, and owns his own business in machinery.

Definitely makes me look bad.

But good for that kid, no hate here.

If it were that price in Cali, I would only be paying like 100 bucks more a year but it would probably reduce the traffic by a good amount Only tax I wish I paid more of...

I got a reply from the US distributor for Sea Gull, he gave a reasonably low price for repair so I think I might have it sent to the factory. In the meantime...what watch to buy? Oh the itch...so many watches, so little money. Also: http://www.watch-insider.com/news/ch...ibutor-logan/#

60000 bucks aint cheap though Actually I'd be surprised if you could get one for 60k, the BJWAF Taiji TB04 dual axis tourbillon is about 350k, though it does use copious amounts of gold which bumps the price up. It actually has a second tourbillon so you're getting a little more than what the JLC Gyrotourbillon offers.

Ugly, with a JLC 'inspired' double tourbillon, with less complications. Not worth anywhere near 60k. Plus aluminum in the carriage is fucking retarded in a mechanical watch. Why build a fancy double tourbillon for 'accuracy' fighting gravity (which isn't even that necessary in a wristwatch), when the tremendous thermal expansion of aluminum will just screw it up on the temperature side?

JLC at least crammed in way more (arguably useless) stuff with theirs.

Tourbillon are probably the most over-hyped watch complication out there. Lots of parts, but actually not that hard to make. Also basically useless with modern balances.

(Spring drive pwns all!)

Edit, holy shit, mechanical porn watches!

Iono, tourbillons seem pretty useless but they are nice artwork, I kind of want one someday just to wind it up and look like a rich douchebag occasionally.

Nothing says rich douchebag more than having a mechanical animated porn scene of yourself nailing some slut in front of your Ferrari on one of your watches.

Nothing.

Also, thank you for linking to that site. I will be laughing stupidly to myself for weeks whenever I randomly think of those watches.
