It's a hell of a lot easier now I can keep my heel planted.
I don't even keep my heel down and it was still bad for me. It engaged so high that I felt like I had to knee myself in the face (slight exaggeration but you get the point). But yeah, the higher up my leg is the less control I feel like I have and the harder it is to be precise. That being said though, it really is a matter of preference so don't fix what you don't perceive to be broken I guess.

I think the clutch is rather high for taking off from a start but the higher engagement point is better for shifting quickly while driving. That's why I haven't adjusted my clutch yet.

Why is the clutch engaging later better for quicker shifts? Please don't read that as combative or sarcastic. I'm legitimately curious.

+1 to this. Do not adjust your clutch unless you have major trouble driving it. If you decide to try it - thoroughly document every step, so you can undo it to factory spec.

And what's the problem? You left foot should not be using the heel as a significant support point anyway.

Normally I might agree with you, but this clutch engages way too aggressively/quickly.

I feel that i don't have to press the clutch in all the way to shift. I don't have any proof to back it up but its just the feel i get from driving.

Fair enough. That was a cool sensation when I had mine at stock height, but it was so hard to be consistent.

I am just talking about lowering the pedal, not doing anything to the clutch itself. Its a quick job (if you have the right tools and small enough hands. in all fairnes I needed help) and is only one step.

If you were worried about restoring it to factory height you'd just need to mark the position on the bolt with a sharpie or something.

Fair enough

I thought after reading the adjustment thread that it was pretty much universally thought of as a good change. Apparently that is very much not the case. I withdraw my suggestion. Any mods people actually agree on to suggest to OP?

I didn't expect that kind of reaction, just meant to suggest that it is a preferential thing...

but then again, isn't every modification just a case of preference or circumstance? Living in michigan I suggest you get a softer more compliant suspension... flame away

It's a selection bias, people who liked it post, those who didn't move on. It's perfectly fine suggest it, it's a free, fast and reversible mod. There aren't many of those for this car. I typically try all of those, and some stick.

So, yeah, AmonReviled, don't take this discussion as a discouragement. If you think the clutch is not to your liking, try that mod.

We've moved from understandable differences of opinion to full-on blasphemy I see.
