You *like* the Mustang wheel?
Thing one, it's ugly.
Thing two, the rim is fricking silvery plastic, not leather, and not smoothly contoured, PRECISELY where my hands would be holding it 90% of the time.
WTF is up with that?

I bet. They are suppose to be getting the new GC's within the next several weeks. They are already in Portland, OR.
You US guys are lucky. Not V6 R-Spec or Track in Canada. GT only, but it's loaded. Navi, leather, hids, full options, LSD , Brembos, etc.

Hyundai Canada, go big or go home lol

You guys are lucky in across the border. I just want to be able to get HIDS, cruise control, LSD, and manual in the car without having to spend $$$ for the track version.

Compare the prices between here and there, then reconsider who is lucky.

And don't forget the ~12% (depends on Province) tax...

A few different mags did reviews at that event last month (?) and most were mixed but every single one mentioned the FRS/BRZ as a likely alternative/competitor so I really am looking forward to seeing the head-to-head tests in the coming months.

One thing that i've been thinking a lot lately, is that the folks who are REALLY into the FRS are probably much more track oriented than some of us who are cross shopping. I probably will NEVER go to the track, but I want a fun street car with the option to track it so the 3.8GC seems like it'll fit that bill from this review!

This is how I feel as well. I "might" track/auto-X the car a few times a year in the future. But I'm not to that point where the only features I am looking for are in relation to the track use of the car. This will be a DD car that I want to be able to live with on a day to day basis. But I want it to be fun. So luckily that opens up the options for me vs. someone looking at a track day car.

I've been looking into the Genesis Coupe. I love how the car comes with a turbo from the factory and would be fairly easy to get 350-400ish HP out of it. It already has a fairly big aftermarket and a lot of R&D has already been done on the car. The interior is nicer then the FRS too.

The FRS on the other hand... Only 200hp no turbo (yet), and still only the first Gen. Looks better IMHO and will probably feel better to drive.

I think the Genesis Coupe will be faster in every way except maybe braking, but the FRS is still going to be more fun on the track (according to reviews).

My only problem is I'll be driving on the streets way more than the track and the Genesis Coupe seems nicer in that regard. I'm going to wait and test drive both before I make my final decision but as of now I have the Hyundai in the slight lead. It loses in looks and handling but seems to win in every other category.

This was posted in the vs. GenCoupe thread. Worth watching and may push you closer to the edge of jumping the BRZ/FR-S ship (though our car is mentioned in the vid).

I am feeling the exact same way, if the price of the brz is with in a thousand or two of the 3.8 gc I am going with the gc. Such a shame cause I really like the look and promise of the brz but if I am going to be spending that type of $ i may as well get some more room in the cabin.
