Is a facebook message reasonable 'documentation' if it ever comes up in protest?

Thanks for the help.
Troy Sumitomo is the founder of Five:AD. If you ask him to send you an email from him with some kind of document showing that spoiler was part of port installed, it might be more legitimate than fb message.

2 part question
First, when coming across the finish line going from hard throttle to hard brake, has anyone else felt a big thud? Feels like something large, like the whole engine just shifts forward and slams into something else. Just trying to describe the thud I've felt 3 times now on 2 different days.

Second question
Let's leave type of coils out and just say adjustable 1-10. 1 being full stiff and 10 being full soft. Front and rear, where have you found your stiffness settings for your best times? Short 35-40 second tracks if it matters.

For the first question, no I haven't felt a thud like you have described.

As for the second, this will depend on what you have done to your car and how you want it to behave. You will only discover where you should be by driving the car on the courses you drive and adjusting the settings based on the feeling on the runs. As far as what setting to change, I use the chart I have attached to this reply to determine the change.

Has anyone run higher springs rates like the ones on the Tein SRCs ro does that get too unmanageable.?

Sorry if this has been addressed previously my original search of this thread didn't come up with any results.

well those coilovers by themselves are okay, but I don't think many people run those because of the Electronic dampening.

Huh? Electronic?

I have SRC with the 10k/12k rates. I'm embarrassingly slow still (2nd time in car, prior was 12 years ago , all new suspension, tires, and alignment for this race +rain) but working on video of Sunday, after it had stopped pissing on us. Stock sways. I can go a lot faster... No obvious issues. My wife and I drove up to Michigan (7 hrs) the previous weekend and she had no trouble knitting the whole trip.

the SRC are EDFC compatible. They don't come out of the box that way, but they are compatible. EDFC is not legal in STX.

Since the RS 1.0 is in STX, am I correct in assuming the release series 1.0 front lip is the standard by which the terms OEM and OEM replica are applied? Pretty sure a BRZ replica is out of the question for FR-S right? I don't think the TRD lip is a port option and I see that the assumed aero features dimensions, even though similar looking, look larger than the release series.

Does anyone have any links or any suggestions for other options for FR-S legal front lips? I can find plenty of replica side skirts but haven't turned up any front lip options yet.

I was specifically crious about how well the high spring rates do at the autocross level. I have heard of lots of people using them for time attack or track, but not so much for autocross.

Also what type of surface are your events held on? Tarmac? asphalt? concrete?

I'm running the SRC's with 20/18 sway bars. To lazy to switch back to stock. I find the car extremely planted, very flat cornering. Which is what I like. The venue's I run on are asphalt, old stuff. I have never been on concrete.
I have moved up into back of the top runners. Improving. I definitely noticed a huge improvement after the Tein install. The comments from some of my co drivers were just as good. I find that you can set up the sweet spot very easily. Even a 1 click adjustment changes things up.

Yes, I'm slow still.

I'm not sure why EDFC compatibility would turn people away from a coilover... A lot cheaper without the electronics.

To lazy to figure out embedding on my phone, I may fix it later.

Tire pressures that we won with at Dixie was 30/27. Basically I've keep that all year so far. Running 245/40 RE71rs. About 75 runs. Flipping them to finish them off for local events, breaking out a new set for Match Tour next weekend.

Cold or hot? I'm finding on concrete (which is all I race on) I'm building pressure way faster than on RS3s before.
