Is it the one in Long Beach? Because of its historical value, it was never redesigned, so it has the original mcdonalds look.

Another intake mod.
Titanium pipe on my AIRAID box.
I did some analyzing with my laser thermometer on a few different intake materials. The stock tube and the AIRAID tube have a temperature around 50° to 56° Celsius on the top of tube, and 70°C towards bottom of tube near engine block. The titanium tube stays at 40° to 45° C on top and 60° C towards bottom.
The intake manifold has a constant temperature of 56°C
All the airboxs were around 45°C
So the titanium material is better for a CAI.

what were your logged IAT... that sounds to me like the cold air being sucked in was cooling the surrounding area. And that the plastic was an insulator that was absorbing the heat. What were the MAF readings?

Not trying to be negative, just saying i wouldn't directly say its "better for cai" more so it is better to cool the bay temps down lol.

I install and wire in a small rocker switch below the stock door switch that when switched on fools the car into thinking the door is shut. I then add a small rubber bumper on the door that shuts the switch off when I close the door to reset it to the off position and restore normal operation next time I open the door. [/IMG]

This pic shows inside or behind the rear quarter panel. The top wire is the stock switch. Below that you can see the hole I cut with a drill & die grinder to clear the terminals of he new switch. I revised the wiring so ignore the routing in the picture. You just need go through the new switch and from there to the stock switch.

This is a mod that would be great before HIN for me. Lol.
