Any chance you can do a quick review when you get it?

Best solution for the exhaust hitting the rear cross-member under load still engine mounts? I thought I'd ditched the issue but then discovered one hangar had come loose when I noticed it was pretty off-center and a bit tweaked.

Full 3" catted resonated OP/FP + resonated FT86 D², hoping to avoid lower hangers for clearance reasons - already scraped a few times even being extra careful.

Still running the stock rubber hangers or did you switch to poly?

Stock. I already plan to change them to poly, but is it enough?

It's the cheaper option, but ultimately, the mounts would make the biggest difference.

Anyone have this full JDL 3" quiet setup: Catted UEL, 3″ Cat & Resonated Over Frontpipe, and 3" D2 exhaust.
@cjd do you?
I'm looking for an install review, loudness comments, and perhaps a video.

A friend is interested in buying my catless JDL UEL and I'm thinking about switching to this setup from my current setup: the catless JDL UEL, Nameless FP/OP with high flow/resonator, and Q300. I have a Sprintex 210 currently but may switch to the 335 in a year or two.

Also is there a difference between JDL's "FT86 Ultra Quiet Front Pipe" in 3" and the "FT86 3″ Cat & Resonated Over Frontpipe"? I assume the ultra quiet product is just without the overpipe, but is the same otherwise.

That's the setup I have, yes. Andi think the over frontpipe is a lot easier to install of I recall past conversations. I have a Nameless header, so 3" all the way through.

It gets to that point where it's annoyingly loud but not too loud for conversation on long drives (hours) at 3-3.5k (highway speeds) but is otherwise respectably quiet and low. A little louder than I like from a stop for the city, and picks up some brashness at WOT. I really like the sound most of the time.

I'll see if I can get some video.

Install, the over-frontpipe took a little more time than hoped but that may be due to my having to swap the small part to correct the flange side. I'm guessing it's related, because the v-band fitting didn't want to seat without a very minor bit of machining. This was true off-car, but made 100x worse on the car. Every other fitting was perfect, easy to seat and put together. I had to loosen the passenger side motor mount and raise the engine a touch, but it wasn't actually required to get the new pipe IN, just to get the old one out. I'll be getting new motor mounts and hangers to mitigate the rattle against the rear cross-member under heavy load, and hopefully help keep everything lined up a bit better over time. There may be other tweaking I could do, but it was late, hot, and I was tired so I said "good enough" and haven't given it much attention since.

Video would be nice thanks. Since you have the Nameless header I imagine it's much louder than if I were to swap my catless JDL UEL with the catted JDL UEL. I have Perrin engine mounts already in and heard it's a little easier to deal with the overpipe in that case, but me removing my Nameless over/front pipe is impossible without a lift since it's all one piece and I can't angle it out. Don't ask how I know it's not possible.

Review "installation" - After leaving the shop we noticed that the OP was hitting the sub frame. After doing some adjustments we were unable to resolve the issue. I drove the car through the weekend until Monday when I began an email chain with Ronnie @ JDL. After providing a few Pictures and adjusting what i could from the engine bay ( I didn't have a way to lift the car) i set up a day to go back to my installer. Using the tips from JDL we were able to resolve the issue. The V-Band from the OP/FP was hitting the sub frame. To resolve the issue we hand tightened the bolts on the OP/Header and the V band. We then pushed the OP upwards and tightened up the bolts to finish the install. This gave the V band about 1/2 inch from the sub frame to resolve the issue.

Support - After a few emails JDL picked up the phone and gave me a call. We went over the install process and pictures which they then used to provide the install tip to resolve the issue.

Over all i am fully satisfied with the Quality of parts and Support from JDL. The car sounds amazing. No rasp or drone at any rpm. If you are cruising at any speed the car is fairly quiet however the car will get loud if you accelerate but it's never to the point where it is uncomfortable. I was able to have a conversation with a really soft spoken 11 year old girl while driving around town. Video Plox? All i have to make a video is my camera phone so it may not be the best quality. I am upgrading to the Note 5 so maybe i can try with that. Now i have the problem of the car sounding awesome but still being slow cause i'm still NA.

When is the next batch of header going to be ready? I ordered on July 13th, and no news yet!

I'm anxious to install it before summer is over, lol.

What's the name/order number? Im guessing it's one of the ones we're about to ship but want to confirm.
