Mann, sitting here looking at shift knobs I'm torn between Raceseng's Ashiko or Slammer knobs.....is there anyone on here that has used both can tell me your opinions?

Holy crap the TeamVoodoo knob is awesome! Feels maybe lighter than stock but somehow smoother. And you can still feel the gears unlike these weighted monsters. It sits a bit lower so feels even more direct than stock.
On a related note, anyone want to buy my Raceseng contour (gloss black) let me know. Includes everything and only used for about 200 miles |

By the way, I'm looking to get a RLO with a Raceseng knob. In the RLO description it says "The R Lock works on the OEM shifter but will NOT fit aftermarket short shifters." Will the lockout work with an STI short throw shifter that came installed from the factory? |

Yep. It's pretty nice. Has a bit more weight to it than stock but not significantly different. Gets quite cold in the mornings.
Shifts feel pretty nice with it. The actual feel/texture of the knob itself is more premium than the regular OEM one and has more grip (not a lot but it's not nearly as slippery feeling). |

I really want to get a nice looking shift knob, but I'm worried that all those nice bright metal ones will burn my hand off in the summer and suck my soul out in the winter. We get pretty wild temperature swings here and the stock one is never too hot or too cold

NRXRaptor: there is also option (costly though) of raceseng hybrid knobs, with metallic core & delrin plastic surround then. Should be best of both worlds imho, with both weight & knot freezing/burning glove-less hand in winter/summer.

Sorry but the sale ended... If the STI short shifter reverse lockout looks identical to the non-short shifter version, then it will work.
Cheers! Quote:
