So trade in my 2013 for new shocks, slightly stiffer front suspension, sharfin antenna, larger exhaust tips, and something a bit different about the interior and eat a $12000 loss?

Stupidest poll ever! Why the hell would anybody take a hit like that for those items. Those updates would be less than $2k if you're really inclined to add them to you MY13-MY14 models. I can think of hundreds of ways to take a $12k loss on and it hell isn't trading in my 2013 FRS for a 2015 model.

Unbelievable!

I had a conversation w/ one of the 86 Chief Engineer's close friends a few months back at an autox event. He was speculating the suspension would be revised (turns out he was correct) incorporating improvements from the BRZ STi tS (which makes cost effective sense).

Where can I buy these bolts? Thanks.

I'm wondering if a stiffer front suspension and revised rear shocks takes away some of the tail happy character of the current car. Judging by how many people have wrecked theirs I figured that might be coming.

The chief engineer Tetsuya Tada personally made stability and other enhancements to the 86 platform most likely for this issue. The car is still in it's infancy and I think you're right. Just too tail happy.

I'm no suspension tuning expert and someone correct me if I'm wrong but, generally, whichever end you stiffen up will break traction easier given that camber hasn't been altered (caster also comes into play but it isn't easily/directly adjustable in our cars). Since the front has been stiffened, that contributes to making it less tail happy. Even further if the rear shocks/springs are softer.

It will be interesting for sure to see the results once the car has been driven by test drivers and real world drivers. Particularly those that have driven the 12,13,14 model year cars and then driven a 15.

Well, at least they're listening - the sharkfin and exhaust tips are mods a lot of us have done. Heck, I had my sharkfin on about a month after I got the car... and that was June 2012.

I'm going to put a deposit down for the 2015. I love these changes and cannot live with my obsolete 2013.

I don't think that anyone thought that'd be the case. Ultimately, they want to bring new owners rather than traders because people trading in '13s and '14s hurts the value of the '15. In Toyota/Subaru's ideal world, people would buy, own for 4 or 5 years, and then trade for a new refreshed one. Redesigns/refreshes are supposed to trigger trades; you can't do an apples to apples comparison between two cars that look different and have hardware that isn't easy to retrofit. These are just normal, tiny model year to model year changes.

At least you don't feel like a '10 Mustang owner.
