Before I swapped my TPMS into my new wheels, the light would come on after driving 20 miles or so.

My car hasn't been near the stock wheels with TPMS sensors in a couple weeks, warning light is not coming on. Anyone else? Makes me wonder if the system is working.

Mine just came on yesterday morning after about two months away from its sensors.

Bumping this thread. I just ordered an ATEQ Quickset ($150). I have the codes from my winter wheels. Hopefully this works. If you ordered your wheels from Tire Rack with sensors, Tire Rack should have the codes. Make sure you ask for them when you order, or call them for the info.
FYI, my TPMS light will come on after driving for about 15 miles. It doesn't click on for shorter trips. |

I used the ATEQ Quickset last night to turn off the TPMS Light. The software must have been updated recently because it was fairly easy to use. I did have to download a driver, but it was about as difficult as installing a printer.
Plug it into the OBDII to get the codes on the ECU Plug in into a computer to input codes from the new tires (you need these) Plug it back into the car and push the "winter" or "summer" button No TPMS light. |

Good to know! Thanks. Where did you order your ATEQ from? Also, what computer operating system are you using? |

If some people can park near their (stored and stationary) stock wheels and have the TPMS light turn off it would seem that the sensors are not motion activated. Can't we just remove the stock TPMS sensors and put them in a pvc pipe charged to 35psi like this: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=10

I agree. If the TPMS don't "fall asleep" when stationary, than this should work. I'll have my fabricator make a stainless pressurized container to store in the spare tire well.

My reply was to Amadeus' post on a pressurized canister to hold the sensors, not the reset tool.
