I ended up getting the Hotchkis camber plates since I was in a hurry before the track day. It works awesome, looks great and no complaints what so ever. The weird clanking noise went away after the camber plate install as well.

Need some help. Taking off the top hat wasn't that bad an issue with these, but when it came to installing the factory top hats to the st coils I couldn't think of how to tighten the bolt onto the top hat. The stock strut had a spot for an Allen wrench on the top to keep it from spinning but there's no spot for an Allen wrench on the st coils.

Trying to get an image up but it won't let me upload

Re size the image and try again. needs to be smaller than 1240 X 1300, something like that. Just make the image around 1000 in the larger direction and it will work.

The ones I bought earlier this year are allen keyed. A couple local FR-S buddies bought ST coilovers in the last couple months and I was helping one of them install theirs. Seems like ST revised these because both those people have hex rods as pictured a few posts up instead of allen keyed.

Super weird do you remember how you tightened the top bolt on theirs?

Just get a pass thru wrench and get a 8mm(ithink) with extension and hold it in place while u tighten the top nut.

I was confused at first too but i figured it out eventually. good luck.

U can get the extensions from harbor freight.

The pass thru however i got from home depot but im sure u can find at HF too

Might be asking to much here but is there any chance I could get a picture or part number of the tools that you used?

I have this one from home depot, its the 3/8" Husky one.
http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pro...c7734e_300.jpg

but im sure the one at HF with a similar extension will be fine.

I have this extension set from HF, i think they only make 1 big package now
http://www.harborfreight.com/media/c...mage_20386.jpg

and just connect the 1/4" extension to a 1/4" socket to hold the top strut bolt in place while u tighten the top nut with the pass thru wrench.

Basically like how u did the front, but instead of allen key, you use a 8mm socket.

If its not clear i can post a pic of how i did it tomorrow

God you're awesome I figured it out I didn't have a long enough 1/4" extension but my deep 10mm socket was the key factor I was missing. Thank you so much you guys are seriously great no matter what they say about you :P
