Me to, but I think I'd still go with the Toyota, and probably boost it myself(turbo) I can't get over the body of the ft, it's very clean

thats an option but that would be a little more expensive to do, given the subie would already be built for boost. chances are(i hope) toyota would be a screamer with high compression. Lots of variables...i have never own a boosted car either so getting in one would be cool. the body of the ft is perfect imo and i dont see the subie version topping it in the looks deparment.

You can boost a high compression engine you just can't run extreme psi, but if it's your daily 6-8 lbs should be plenty, you could probably, depending on the turbo size get up to 325-350 maybe more, but I don't know how strong there block rods are, but I agree the body of the ft is perfect

What if Toyota has a base NA and a TRD supercharged top model, and Subaru has only one turbo model. Then which would you guys get?

That's the last thing you'll be worrying in Boxer engine. You should be more worry about rod bearing. Sun bearing is common problem w boxer engine.

depends on how much the trd version putting out. 250 is a benchmark for me pertaining to the turbo subie version. if the trd pushing about the same + or - 10 im leaning towards it for the looks...just have to wait and see.

On the Subie forums, there were a few folks with ringland issues; stock STi's and high hp w/stock bottom ends too. Perhaps that could be a weak link!?!
