I see now, just got it outta the packaging... Seems as though one might get a piece of rubber like that at the local hardware store but well... Maybe it'll look better mounted.

Sorry for double post, dunno whether this has already been mentioned but what size drill bit did you do the holes for the nipple with?

I think it works if you have the rear underspoiler and maybe the rest of the STI bottomline kit. Otherwise if that's your only aero mod then yeah, I could see it not looking so hot on black.

Thanks for the pic! Got any more from different angles? I would prefer a shot directly from behind, either crouched or standing, if you have one.

To me it's more about the rubber... um... "color".
If it were painted then yeah, unpainted always looks cheap to me, no matter where.
Still, one can pull the Gurney off even w/o any aero mods at all, it's not really a huge eyecatcher. It rather fits in nicely, gives the car a finishing touch.
The Toyobaru could have handled a bigger spoiler anyway, silimar to the one on an Integra Type R or even a Supra (though that's too big already)

Anyway, I got another image you might find interesting. Since we haven't really seen the sun since the day I installed it/took the pic, this is all I have ATM. Includes under spoiler

I agree, it doesn't stand out if unpainted and can work with completely stock bodies since everyone's car comes with stock black unpainted pieces (rear diffuser, BRZ front bumper plastic, side mirrors, antenna). Anyway, the real reason I'm writing an on-topic response is because I'm off-topic curious: what kind of wheels do you have? Speedline Corse Turini?

Thanks for the additional pic! Your under spoiler looks ewww dirty!

I think I may paint-match the gurney, but leave the rest of the aero pieces the gloss black... or paint them all! I'm a REBEL!

The rims are from Subaru's catalogue, corse whatever something.
And you won't be able to paint the gurney, it's just rubber. Believe me, if i coulda had it painted, i woulda.

So how did any of you drill those holes? Japanese ja-nai

I cut my pegs in half so they stop just before touching the spoiler (spoiler isn't drilled). The tape is plenty strong to hold it in place and I always have the option to revert to stock without ugly holes in my spoiler. I put the pegs there only as a theft deterrent. And if I drilled instead, it's not like that would stop anyone from being able to rip the flap off. :p

I've been thinking the exact same thing just that I'd use the pegs for optical reasons, the holes being fugly and all.
Though I think the pegs might be considered more for their probably keeping the ends of the Gurney from detaching over time... That's why I even consider drilling for them at all....

I had a 3M taped trunk lip for my WRX that held on perfectly. I hear this one for the gurney is good, too. I definitely don't want to drill holes onto my spoiler, but I would in less visible places like for the front lip and side skirts.
