Whiteout was my first choice too, argento being the 2nd. Though i have no regrets with the color choice. The silver is hot in person, makes the body lines stand out

I'm a former RX-7 (1982) driver and present RX-8 driver (2004). My RX is 9 years old and Mazda won't have an RX-8 replacement for several years and I'm looking at the FT86.

My first car was a new 1970 Toyota Corona, and I loved Toyota reliability. Mazda reliability is not as good, though they take responsibility. I'm on my THIRD ENGINE. The new engines were replaced for free since Mazda had problems with oil metering on the original engine and qualtiy control issues on the 2nd engine. I'm hoping the FR-S combines the performance and cornering of the RX-8 with Toyota reliability and fit and finish.

Hi all.

Got my Whiteout FR-S almost 2 weeks ago, and have been loving it ever since.
Mind has been filled with all the possibilities of things I would like to do to/with it. muahahaha

Been lurking these forums for the past month and a bit as the wait was on after I put in my deposit and pre-order at Heninger, Figured I would register and begin to participate in the community.

A little background.... My first actual car of my own was a nice, white 240sx which I loved to death. After I moved to Japan for a year and a half, my younger brother took it over and wrecked it, fixed it, and made it even better if not a bit ricey for my taste. Upon returning from Japan I moved on to a 2009 Lancer GTS that I leased due to financial reasons and thinking it was a good idea...

I had heard about the GT86 when rumors started leaking out about it and was really excited and had hoped that my lease would work for when the car finally came out, but had my doubts. Fast forward to this spring when I began to shop around for a new car. Began with the idea that it would be cool to get an STI, went for a test drive, but as fate would have it they had none to test. Decided to walk across the street to take a look at the tC and started talking with one of the sales guys who informed me that the preorders were on for the FR-S and they were expecting them to arrive a few short weeks after my lease was up! Its as if the gods themselves had laid a golden path to this car for me. So, put down my deposit and the rest is history.....

Just joined the forum to look for more info on if i should go FR-S or BRZ. Currently I'm leaning towards the base FR-S, but we'll see once i get closer to buying time (1-2 months).

Welcome.

If you have the funds for it, get a BRZ. There's nothing wrong with an FR-S, but personally I'd prefer the BRZ and would happily pay the extra money.
