IACV don't do anything w start up. IACV is more towards after start up & idling area. Knock sensor, yes, getting P0340 once a while when I start up... but I've replaced that sensor over 4 times within 2 yrs. neutral switch, I thought bout it, but no. It's still nothing to do w firing up.

I think, it's few tooth on timing belt might of slipped & need to be adjusted... Well, there goes another $1.5k... FML

After the somewhat interesting read I had through the innovate thread, I didn't expect to see that....at all. Guess I'll check out the vegas thread eventually.

Ichi, don't threaten the car with replacement....it'll only make it worse. You know how temperamental they can be.

You're right... Just currently, there are 2 options. 1. Do full overhaul of the engine (costing bout $1.5k) & crossing my fingers that it'll be fixed or 2. Buy FRS/BRZ... I'm still debating

So I could have asked you on FB, but why do you need an overhaul again? HGs leaking? Spun a rod bearing?

Skip the upgrades, re-time the belt. Leave the clutch alone. Save money. Buy FR-S.
