I'm not reading through 70 pages of dyno talk teasers to find it, but was it answered somewhere whether or not this will be going for California smog legal cert like the Vortech?

There's a little button at the top that says "Search this Thread." If you click that and enter CARB you'll find your answer.

Anyone that wants more torque than HP is crazy. Do these people realize that the only way for this engine to have more torque than HP is to decrease the redline to say 6000 or for torque to fall off terrible on the top end.

The fact that this engine revs so high means there will always be more HP than torque.

Not necessarily true. A kit that loses breath as the revs climb will have more torque than HP. Being that the Innovate is a PD kit, it's quite possible that it makes more peak TQ than HP.

I don't really care for a high peak tq number, just looking for a more area under the curve

True which is why i said it could happen if it runs out of breath.

If that's the case numbers will not be that spectacular IMO

Agreed, I think people are going to be disappointed with superchargers in general on this car.

The ones that expect 300whp sure are, that's just not likely with a supercharger. ~50% gain at the wheels is roughly all i would ever expect from a supercharger really on any car.

For me peak numbers are really only a part of the equation. Whats most important to me is where, when, and for how long the power comes on. Peak numbers net temporary fun usually on the high end of rpm but if you want extended fun sometimes it comes at the expense of peak numbers and the distance in which power is carried takes over for the fun factor. It also then becomes usable power over a larger range. Here's to hoping for a nice linear HP and table top TQ carried throughout the entire rpm range.
