Yep, and use your network of friends/family/colleagues to too. "Who you know" is as valuable as ever. Otherwise you're just another resume in the stack.

If I knew anybody in mobile/IT security I would pass it along. I know a guy who is an IT system admin, which probably includes some amount of security/privacy stuff, so I'll bounce this his direction in case he has suggestions.

Last time I did that I waited like 2 hours, read MT. Got called finally and waited another 30 -45 minutes. Was asked one simple question by the Judge. Have I ever had any past experiences that could lead me to being biased to this case in anyway? Said yeah. I was still picked, but one of the lawyers didn't want me there so I got dismissed. I got out and enjoyed my day downtown just in time for lunch.

There's so many asshat ways to do it, but I don't know how serious the Judge might be if you decide to try it. Tread carefully.

My initial thought was I hit a water bottle or some debris. Now I'm thinking it might be some sort of animal deciding to live in my engine bay; considering I didn't see anything roll from under my car when I checked my rearview while driving.

OEM pads blow. I always buy performance pads and they're usually cheaper anyway.

Also

if you are DIY'ing for the most part when you change pads just change the rotors. They are cheap enough (Unless BBK) where the cost you are saving for DIY will be more than enough to cover a new set of rotors
