Only accessory added was the Homelink/Auto-Dimming rear mirror. Decided to go Automatic this time for the Eyesight system. Autodriving my Outback these past few years has made me super lazy. Haha.

Price was $34,218! Estimated ETA is end of September, but I'm anticipating October/November.

Now we start buying parts! lol
I have the same car and mine came out to about $34,000 MSRP. If you have bought a Subaru previously, check to see if you might get a Loyalty Coupon. SOA checked to see that I had purchased three Subaru cars previously and sent me $750 which I applied to the sale of my 2022 BRZ. My 2017 BRZ was also Crystal Pearl White and it looks nice when the sun shines. I think any of the colors that have that sparkly stuff in it looks special. I loved my 2017 BRZ, but I thought it would be good to have some of the features found on my Ascent. The 2022 delivered on that starting with the FA24 engine and more. The 2017 with an automatic transmission was adequate at best, but sport mode in manual with the tach above 4,000 RPM kept things interesting. The additional torque and HP of the 2nd Gen, for me, fixes everything. The first thing I did with my 2017 was to remove the Toyobaru Kazoo fake engine sound. It was annoying. After the first 200 miles in my 2022, I pulled the plug on the sound gizmo. The car makes plenty of noise already on its own.

Update: I received an order confirmation E-mail this morning from Subaru with the Vehicle Order Number (VON).

I ordered 11/30/21 and got a VON the same day. The car was built sometime in January and I didn’t get the VIN until a couple of weeks before the car was delivered 3 months and 3 weeks after placing the order. I might have gotten more info sooner if I asked, but I knew it would not make the process quicker. What they told me was that unless there was some unforeseen catastrophe, I would definitely get my car and the estimate was March, 2022. Start to finish, no BS. That be good.

My dealer told me that at least for now, they were only selling BRZs to people motivated enough to come in and order one. They were focusing on getting the other models that are in high demand to get them to customers as quickly as possible. I got the last 2022 MY BRZ. I suspect that they won’t be putting a 2023 on the lot unless it is from a cancellation. From what I can see, everything they sell comes in and within 48 hours it’s driven away. The only thing I have seen actually in the showroom more than a day is some sort of Wilderness model.

How will I know Subaru accepted the order and is building the car?
You will receive a VON from them.

When did you order? So is this how Subaru does it? My salesman did take down my email when asking for all my info.

I called my sales contact yesterday and he submitted the order in the afternoon. Got the E-mail from Subaru the next morning.

How do you know that you got the last 2022 BRZ? That's pretty cool though.
I ordered a 2022 on Jan 6th, and still waiting, and have no word regarding VON, est. date, etc. Do you think it is it safe to assume, that at this point, I will be getting one of the first 2023's?

I would contact your dealer. Not sure their order system will automatically switch your order from a 2022 to a 23. It very likely just drops into limbo.

According to my salesman, "he's on it", and in active communication with the distributor, and will be a 2023 if the 2022 doesn't come in.
Obviously, all I can do is ask, so who knows what will really happen. Just keeping my fingers crossed for now, lol

Have any of the dealers giving you an ETA on the 2023 deliveries is it late summer early fall?
