@Dimman you know I'm thinking maybe a Hayabusa motor conversion would be easier than building a 1NZ...even with custom adapter plates and stuff, it might even cost less.
Hayabusa motor modifications to make it more street friendly: -stroker (not completely necessary) -smaller exhaust cam, adjust intake cam (if the LFA can get away with proportionally smaller valves then this can get away with less lift) -300M rods, ceramic coat everything that's not already coated in exotic s*** -remanufactured case and mating to transmission... ![]() -modify the throttle bodies Preferable: 14:1 comp pistons EMS: standalone 1NZ modifications to make it racy: -new titanium? valves ($$$$), valve springs -oil pump -water pump -new cams on both exhaust and intake -new pistons, highest they go is 12.5 before you need custom ones :/ -major headwork -300M rods, ceramic coat everything that's not already coated in exotic s*** EMS: standalone Comparison: Rev limit realistically can only be 8000ish without a destroke on the 1NZ aka limited to ~170hp, Busa wins massively on power and will sound more glorious. Busa fuel economy will probably be worse. Primary reduction gears from Busa can be adopted as in the Miatabusa project but mated to a Toyota transmission this means 4000rpm cruising which sucks. Hmmm. |

I was actually thinking of trying to find something for her on that site -sadly tho they can be a bit pricey. either there or
http://www.uncommongoods.com/ since she said she liked the site....only they're kind of expensive too....and she just moved so she still needs things that you would find at say bed bath and beyond but I don't know what? Shes not the kind of person who will tell you what she needs because she doesn't like people spending money on her so I gotta listen super closely. I think Ill go with a puzzle of long island, or something closely related to it since she moved to ohio...She did say how she wanted to put it together with her bf and hang it up lol...now I just gotta figure out where the hell am I going to find one... |

The one and only E85 pump in town reopened. The pumps are so old the E85 stickers are discolored. I was a little bit excited so I bought premium fuel and some sodas at that particular station. But E85 was 10 cents less than Regular from a different station. F@ck that. It should be under $3 about now.

Once you get your financial job, and people throw money at you to game the markets, maybe. I'd go 'Busa (if they can put one in a smart car, they could put one in your Spyder), because racebike. (Also because tuning parts/knowledge base is established in 2 wheel land.) Until then 2ZZGE + 6M. Easy, established, powerful and high rpm screamer.

I found this the other day. Really great base for an engine swap, could even sell the engine/tranny to help pay for the build. I wish I could but I can't.
![]() http://www.kiastoreeast.com/used-car...-Louisville-KY Can't touch an MX-5 of the same year for less than $10k but there's an RX-8 for half that. |
