Thanks for the suggestion! I never thought of that, but a quick internet search yields all kinds of interesting projects where people have remodeled old warehouse type buildings into residences. Something new to learn about!

man neighbor got a dog and is barking all day and night if they dont bring it in and its driving me crazy been like this for months now.. i got some stupid neighbor.. i yell and curse and they put the dog in but later on they bring it out and starts to bark for hours non stop.. no one is home and dog barks for nothing and goes barking crazy if hears other dogs

im going to get my air compressor next time and tape a whistle on the tip of the air nossels and put about 50 psi output and let it run for 30 mins non stop and see how they like annoying sound

This is what you do. Have laser sensors and loud music with directional speakers. Aim it at their home's general direction, everytime they trigger the sensor the speakers play loud annoying music.

It just came to me as I have seen some random videos or pictures here and there about the idea. One cool dude in LA was restoring Porsche and opening a clothing business. His home/office/garage was something like that, and I think his wife was against the idea at first, but then started to embrace the idea.

Something to think about.

Hey, I heard that the city of Detroit is going bankrupt. Maybe there are opportunities there.

Aren't they pretty much giving away buildings in Detroit, though? With some kind of stay and improve/revitalize catch or something?

I was there (mostly Novi, though...) for a long weekend over Christmas. Made me kind of sad.

You could get a really complex puzzle, put it together... together (with her) and then frame it and frame it and hang it up.

Yep, I like it too. There are some details that would need to be addressed, but the general idea appeals to me. I like the idea of repurposing something old rather than building something new. I like the idea of living in an area that might not have a neighbor twenty feet away. I have always wanted to "bring the outside in" and vice versa when I design a place, so it stands to reason that having a residential suite inside a warehouse would allow you to drive the car basically into the living room. Or at least have part of the residence open to the workshop. But at the same time, one thing I definitely would not want is to heat and cool an entire warehouse, so the remodel would revolve around creating a residential space within one part of the warehouse, and using the rest for other things.

Made me sad too. There are probably a number of different incentives available, but my main issue is the weather. They get a harsh winter.

If your saying he should get another boat well then sorry. Most of our family think he has enough boats as it is. He's a simple yet efficient fisherman.
