I got the opticoat treatment prior to the clear bra. I had them done by different shops and asked both installers if it was okay to apply the opticoat first. Both said it would make no difference to the adhesion of the PPF. That being the case, I think it makes sense to have the opticoat applied first so that the finish is consistent once you take the clear bra off. I believe expel ultimate is rated for 5 years but was told to expect longer life in practise.

#716 here. Having a difficult time deciding on wheel color with this paint. I don't want black wheels but the paint changes so much in different light. Leaning towards gun metal currently.

Well that is the previous owner I suppose. Mine is slightly used. Don't know why you would get rid of such an amazing ride.

You may also try looking for IJ8 paint (instead of J8A for FR-S) as this is the touch-up paint for 10 Series Silver Ignition Scion IQ, tC, xB, and XD. It was confirmed on the 10 Series Facebook Group they are the same colors, but dealers are having easier access to IJ8 vs. J8A.

Maybe whoever posted pictures of the bottle can put them on here.

Has anyone figured out how to separate the Scion emblem from the glowing base to replace it with a Toyota emblem?

The issue is the base is the same shape as the Scion logo, which is different from the Toyota logo. So if you did separate the top and the base and stuck a Toyota logo on, it wouldn't line up.

10 Series owners have also been having difficulties with just replacing the Scion logo completely, as there is a large hole in the center for the wires. Therefore it is not as simple as the regular FR-S to GT86 swaps. 10 Series owners who have changed to Toyota logos had to add a backing to cover the hole.

I honestly feel that people should embrace the scion logo. I think it will be a future classic.
