Gray BRZ on 93N by Somerville/Medford around 5:30. I gave a couple honks and a wave like an idiot...haha. Just happy to see another twin driving in the snow like a boss.

Random and not thread relevant but would like to add that this car, with snow tires on, is not bad at all in the snow given its platform. I just made my way home from work 7:30 from Framingham to Boston and it was a blast. Sure I don't have tremendous traction but I can get momentum to carry me through most snow banks. Lastly, let's not forget just how much fun it is to force a sideways direction just for shit and giggles. U- turns are hilarious.
One suggestion , turn traction control off or use vsc mode when battling a snow bank.otherwise you won't be able to spin your way through a slush pile

White twin with a duckbill spoiler leaving H-Mart in Burlington around 5:20pm.

A few minutes later, there was a silver BRZ going to the plaza through the back.

I finally broke down and picked up some snow tires last week because of all the snow here in New England. Amazingly, I made it all the way to February before I needed them. I got some General Altimax Arctics on 16" steelies from tirerack and I'm truly impressed. The roads were awful today and it was the first true test of the new tires and I had zero issues or sketchy moments. It's definitely a fun setup for this weather.

Honestly there were only one or two days that I really needed them. Its either been light enough to not make a difference, or heavy enough where I work from home (luckily I am not saving lives, so I dont need to work when theres a ton of snow on the ground)

Wrong.

Snow tires should be called winter tires. The rubber compound in regular tires becomes hard like plastic below 45 degrees. Winter tires are made from a different compound that stays softer (and grippier) at lower temperatures.

Unless you really only have had one or two days under 45 degrees.

I agree with you on the tires being softer and better suited for those temperatures, however I wouldn't consider it a necessity to get around if we're not experiencing wintery conditions. Any sleet, snow or ice on the ground, completely different story.

I've seen a blue BRZ heading south on route 126 in the Wayland / Framingham area. If you see a black FR-S with white LED switchback turn signals, that's me.
