Have you guys tried Chromebook? I have a Samsung Series 3 chromebook (ARM processor), cost $200, and it's awesome for regular applications (microsoft skydrive, chrome browser). It doesn't create much heat so it wont fry your lap and it weighs half of what regular laptops do. I can hook it into a tv with HDMI and use it to watch shows on crackle and youtube.
It's a great mobile solution if you have a phone that shares 4g over wifi to it, so you can take it anywhere pretty much, even in the rain because it's a cheap disposable laptop and you can replace it without having to worry about spending too much $$. Basically it's the laptop I use for reading while in the bathroom, but it's a good notebook for work too. Edit: Also for those looking for the BEST screen available on a notebook, the Chromebook Pixel is supposed to be it: http://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome...oks.html#pixel It's not widescreen, but they're saying that it has the best color/brightness of any screen and it's super high res (2560x1700) and is also a glass screen with multi-touch. It uses an intel platform, so you can install Windows on it. Last edited by radroach; 05-13-2013 at 02:44 PM. |

You know Microsoft though, just gotta follow the trend
Windows 95 = Windows 98 = Windows 2K = Windows ME = Windows XP = Windows Vista = Windows 7 = Windows 8 = ?????? Well according to the trend I've noticed with windows OS's throughout my life I wasn't expecting much but we'll see, I haven't had much opportunity to play with 8 yet.
