Memorial Day is almost here, so I might try to wait until then.

Gameplan is to get new machine, then yank old HD and try to run it as external drive to retrieve some files. If I need something, I will definitely reach out. Thanks for all the help!

Okay while we're at it. I know to look for something with Windows 7. Need I concern myself with things like Home versus Pro? I fancy myself a Pro at many things...

but don't let it stop you from buying a awesome laptop with windows 7

or really even windows 8 as you can just install a start bar and your windows 8 will be exactly like your windows 7

Pro. Home doesn't have a full feature set in the OS like Pro does. Really annoying actually.

That's what I noticed with my old MSI board.

I haven't been back with them ever since... Now I'm using an ASUS board and I'm lovin' it. Although my asus GFX card has taken a shit on me a couple to times but it re-runs itself.

I'm a fan of EVGA boards and cards; ASUS customer service BLOWS real hard IMO.
