I got down to an 8:20.997 last night with the Porsche RSR. Pretty sure that lap also had enough mistakes to net another 2 seconds off. That was just 3 laps too. I think I could get Gold, but not sure I have the time or committment to make that happen.

I've logged over 1000 laps around the Nordschleife ever since it's been added to the GT series, so it's firmly in my wheelhouse lol.

Same here, there are few tracks that come as naturally to me at this point. But like you said, that time/commitment required to chisel seconds and then tenths off that base laptime grows and becomes a diminishing returns thing.

Even the 86 club league, I'm not sure I'll be partaking much from here because I can't just sit down for 30 mins and get an OK but non-competitive time and be done. But I also don't have the required time I need to work down to that competitive time so..

The ring feels different in GT7 than it did in GT5.

I try not to overdo it on those. Otherwise I get stuck in an OCD loop of trying to get better. I save those for the Sport TT's and even then I have to limit myself or I start trying to push too much and I get worse and it starts become not fun. I probably could have shaved a good amount of time on the 2nd gen at Willow just based on what I learned on the first gen but called it good.

The engine swaps are expensive! Then again, only looked at the two cars I happened to be using for the GT Sport (Fugu Z and S15 Touring car).

On that note, the current TA sucks arse. Of course it would have to be at one of the layouts of Willow Springs I don't know. I actually turned where I wasn't supposed to. LOL

And y'all know me, had to buy two of the Nismo R32s. haha

I did it anyway. Lol. Surprised I was able to get silver, for now, in about 5 laps. Tried another couple of laps after, and those were a full second slower. So I stopped since I didn't want to rage quit. Hahaha

Talking

I'm also not a fan of that Willow track. Hopefully I can manage Silver (to keep those credits flowing!).

One of my favorite things about the new update is that now more information is logged when setting times in time trial mode! Previously you had no clue what tires a car was running, though oddly enough the game was more than happy to tell you what the ambient temp was as well as wind direction! Now vehicle PP and tire choice is displayed! And if you hover over the posted time even more vehicle information is displayed. Finally!

Holy shit! After the update, my 2J swapped GR86 now has 883hp. Too bad I can’t do weight reduction stage 4 or 5… or maybe it’s a good thing. lol

Glad to see the Alfa GTV on the list now.
May not be great in the game, but still glad. Because.
