A light rwd sports car with an auto...lol.

Glad your mom likes driving your car. Perfect example of why the auto is the wrong choice. Makes me laugh that's seriously your argument towards an auto. Sounds like an argument against if anything.

Damn didn't know it was a competition.
In that case just to clench the win:
Back in the olden days our army field rations were all in tin cans. We used to drop them down the straight stacks of the deuces, wait a few seconds and stomp the gas. The can would come shooting out piping hot. Unless the engine stalled in which case the can would sometimes get sucked into the exhaust manifold. Had to buy the maintenance guys a lot of beers to keep their mouths shut when that happened.

Please just stop. Even the civic fanboys think you are acting immature.

Exactly. If someone doesn't like an Auto, don't buy one. But is it really gratifying to dis someone's car because they don't like autos. I love my car, AT and all. I don't disrespect someone's choices because they aren't mine.

The world of cars is full of great people, but is also full of egocentric and insecure people that take their time to dis other people's car.

This is one reason I stopped going to car meets. It's another reason I'm careful when it comes to choosing who I talk to in the car community.

Wondered who would be the first to say that. There is always somebody in these AT vs MT threads. Tried it myself a few times before I gave up.
Anyways, this is nothing compared to a good stance battle.

Actually I don't actually see the debates much at meets. Dissing somebody's choice when you can't see how big they are and know they can't touch you is one thing saying it where they can knock your block off is another.
The big problem here is people can't always tell a joke, from sarcasm from serious insults so reactions can be all wrong.

Really? Down here in Southern California (from the meets I used to go to) a lot of dissing happens. Then there are the street racers also who go about dissing other people's cars.

I rarely attend open meets, or even "backyard gatherings" unless they contain at least 1 or 2 Twins. Why? Because there's always people (usually Honda owners but not always) who, in my opinion, have a sort of Napoleon Complex car wise.

True story here, some immature idiot pulled down his pants and almost left his ass print on my hood. He saw the expression on my face and walked away. Guess what car he drives.

Anyhoo, I only attend FRS/BRZ meets over here. Limits my exposure to other cars but figured I get to drool when the monthly driving group meets up.

What the hell?? Ugh. I would be so pissed if someone did that to my car. People have no respect. I would have kicked him in the nuts.

I wish I had more friends who like cars, but I don't. It's always just me alone going to these crappy meets and amazing canyon drives!

Canada eh!
Ya there could be culture shock between us if we participated in each other's area. I am not saying for a second that people don't put down cars or drivers (that is just human nature wherever you are) but it is usually done quietly in whispers.
