Pro Finale update: Dave Ogburn is right there with the leaders in CS and has the quickest time on the left course. There are a couple of other twins only about 1 second back (Manfred and Fenstermacher), so things look pretty good. In STX, David Marcus has a solid lead in his BRZ, but it's the only twin in the top 7 spots. Of note: the 2015 WRX in STX is half a second quicker to the 60-foot mark than the other STX cars. Ouch. It is really impressive to watch it launch.

Good luck on Sunday!!

Ooh, ooh! Do I get bonus points for knowing what hotel you're staying at? Or should I be ashamed that I've been to Lincoln enough times to know that?

Good luck this week to everyone. It looks like we have a semi-decent chance of making it with no more rain. For those not able to be there, check out live timing here: www.sololive.scca.com.

The West Course is very narrow in spots and overall transition/slalom intensive. I've only run one other Roger Johnson course (Colorado Tour this year) and it was the same way. And there are several good cone walls to wipe out on both courses which is why some people have 3+ cones on a single run.

I definitely took a wall out on my first run, came in +5. Cleaned it up though. Sadly, I'm not fast.

David drove AWESOME. He put in runs I couldn't touch. We spoke on Monday and admitted we were scared of each other. I made a big mistake on my second run on Friday, and knew the car had a high 54 in it. Then went out and drove like a butthead on my third run. But, since we're playing "what ifs", it still wouldn't have been enough if David's last run was clean too. So HUGE congrats to him for kicking some serious ass this year!

Also, if anyone is looking for a very capable STX car:

a few quick notes after getting home.

1) Congrats to Dave (CS) and David (STX) for hard fought wins.
2) Thanks to Chris for loaning me the Scion decals (they didn't help...)
3) My first run on Thursday was my best of the week. After that the brain farts
just kept piling on... After so many trips to Nationals you would think I would
have figured *something* out. apparently not.
4) Traction Control does not do what you think it does.
5) I'll be back next year (probably).

Are you saying STX was easy? That's what it looks like in your ad.

We all make mistakes in our runs... lots of what "ifs". If I didn't lift, I would have won. lol

My excuse is always "If I just didn't lose, I would have won." Works every time and no one can argue with it.

Not saying STX was easy. Saying I made a big enough mistake that should show the car had plenty enough in it to win.

Surely he's just dressing up the ad to make a sale. I mean you and David Marcus raw timed the STR winner and STR ran the same course, same day right after STX. That certainly doesn't sound easy to me. Of course that result probably isn't going to do us any favors for STX PAX in 2016! Ha!

Anyway, nice driving to all the 86 trophy winners in STX and CS!
