Story: Yet another success story with purchasing from Clint. Took a little longer than I'd anticipated, but well worth the wait considering the savings and excellent customer service. Clint and his colleagues know what they're doing and strive only to get you the exact car you want for a reasonable price. I did not get to meet the man himself in person, but he was always available via text or email, and was very patient with answering all my annoying questions! Car was delivered with 12 miles on the odo, dirty but without a scratch.

Thumbs up Second vote for Subaru of Kennesaw

My car was delivered while I was out of town, so I requested that all the plastic be left on it and that the car stay parked and locked. When I arrived for pickup, the car was exactly as I had asked and the process was very smooth. Thumbs up.

GA - Kennesaw - Subaru of Kennesaw - Sales

Sales: Stephanie Frazier/John Settineri
Story: Just bought a BRZ from Subaru of Kennesaw myself. I had submitted an Edmunds inquiry and got a response from Stephanie Frazier. She ended up selling me the car, but John Settineri took me for the test drive.

I was completely satisfied with the staff at Subaru of Kennesaw, from Stephanie and John, to Johnny Poole (Sales Manager) and Scott Bell (Financing guy). Louis Kaissieh (General Sales Manager) also stuck his head in during our dealings and was pretty friendly, as well.

Dealer: Cleo Bay Subaru
Location: Killeen TX
Person: John
Deal: Subi BRZ '14 LTD
Price: 28,000$
Miles: 60

What I did: Already pre-approved for a loan @ 9% APR with USAA for 27000$. Had my Dodge Avenger @ 3k (it was in bad condition) and offered to put down 4k to pay off car. So left over was 0.
What they did: Offered theirs @ 6% APR 72months for 550$ w/ 100k Warranty & GAP and sent car from 40miles to my location.
What they also did: I paid too much for my car left over. They promptly offered my refund back. I did not ask for any discounts, they pro-actively offered it. They said my insurance would go up a little. I checked and verified only up by 20$ MRC.

Thoughts: They probably offered it because of me being pre-approved. But I don't have buyers remorse and they took care of me the whole step of the way. They did not have the color available and they did not urge me to take their pre-existing inventory. I was a salesman previously, so I may have said all the things to make the sales short and cut-clean, so I might have had it different. But no issues.

CO - Colorado Springs - Heuberger - Sales

Sales: Clint & Eric
Service: N/A
Story: Contacted Clint after reading about Heuberger on this forum. Within 12 hrs, he got back to me with a price quote on the exact color/model BRZ (2014, WRB, Limited, M/T) I was looking for and saved me almost $3k compared to MSRP. Flew out last Friday, drove the car home over the weekend. Eric & Clint took fantastic care of me throughout the process, I'd definitely recommend buying from them!

Good Review from the forester forum :)

"I recently returned to Northern California with my new silver 2014 Subaru Forester Limited thanks to Clint Earhart and others at Heuberger Motors. My local dealer was one of those that wants to add thousands to MSRP and then expects you chisel away at that. No thanks! Off to Colorado Springs for a mini-vacation to visit my brother near Denver and a superb drive back home to California with my new vehicle!

Clint was prompt and polite throughout our interactions. This was unlike any experience buying a new vehicle before. No pressure, no silly games, just a great price on a great new Forester. One observation, and this is a good thing, is that persistence is the opposite of what you probably are accustomed to with "normal" car buying. Clint and the others are busy, so you need to be a little persistent to reach them and work through the details. Compare this to the traditional dealers that want to hound you repeatedly by phone and email. Put me in charge of persistence every time!

I am working on some Subaru wannabe owners I know to convince them to follow in my footsteps and to work with Clint on that new Subaru they are looking at. What a great price and experience this was for me. I am glad that I went to pickup my Forester and got to briefly visit Colorado Springs and the Heuberger Motors folks. Buy your new car here and with Clint. You will be glad you did!"

CO - Colorado Springs - Heuberger - Sales

Sales: David Barnes & Gary Clark

Story: Got the run around from Groove Subaru in Denver so I called up Heuberger and asked for Clint. Intercepted by Gary and told that Clint wasn't in yet but Gary is Clint's boss and would be able to help. Gary (internet sales) combined with David (floor sales) was able to come up with a deal that worked for me. I'm annoyed that apparently Heuberger sales reps cannot get their work email on their phones or home but only at their cubicle computers. This means that there are significant gaps in communication times. Financing guys were dismissive after finding out I'd be paying cash. Still, a more fluid transaction than most other dealers, so I guess it counts for the whitelist!

NH - Manchester - Manchester - Sales

Sales: Vern

Story: Called Manchester and inquired about a 14 BRZ limited on their website that was $3k below msrp. Living in MA meant I couldn't test drive before buying (although I had already test driven an frs), but we had everything worked out via phone and email and I picked it up the next day. Couldn't be happier, Manchester was super easy to work with, gave me a ton of money for my trade, and didn't try to sell me too much extra crap (other than some $600 wax that I googled and found out was basically a scam, can't think of the name off the top of my head). Really pleased, love the car, and will definitely be back the next time I'm looking for a Subaru. Worth the +2 hour drive!

I bought my Lightning Red Premium in Libertyville,IL at Liberty Auto City. Basically bought the car over the internet. ( Email's back and forth with Ben Jacobs 'online sales manager')

Drove to the dealership to find Ben who pointed me to my salesman Jerry. Jerry grabbed the keys, copied my license and had me out the door on a test drive in less than ten minutes from walking in the door. Total transaction took just over an hour and a half and was as painless as you could ever imagine. I'd reccomend them to anyone in the Chicagoland Area.

CA - San Jose - Capitol Subaru - Sales

Sales: Tommy
Service: N/A
Story: Bought my second BRZ here after my first one was totalled. Was referred to Tommy by another forum member, and he delivered right off the bat. Quoted me the price I was looking for over the phone, straight up with no hidden fees. Excellent communication and integrity, not to mention he's a super cool guy as well. The guys at Capitol Subaru know and love their Subies, unlike at some other dealerships where they hardly know anything about the cars and try to BS all their customers. The final step of signing all the papers took a little long, and the finance guy did try to sell me all the extended warranties and such, but not any more than his job required of him. Overall, a pleasant experience and great Sales team.

Thumbs up

AL - Huntsville - Landers McLarty - Both

Sales: Dean Hartley
Service: Michael Mayers
Story: Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about the BRZ in particular. Eager to please, but not at all pushy. Happy to set me up with an overnight loaner to help seal the deal. This was my first new car purchase and the entire process was very comfortable and no-pressure - not at all what I expected. And I got a great car at a great price!

Update 6/3: I just returned from my first (~3750) service appointment and couldn't be happier. As soon as I pulled up, the service manager (Michael Mayer) greeted me by name and directed me to the customer lounge stocked with a dope Starbucks grinding/brewing/dispensing machine. Forty minutes and $0.00 later, I found an ice-cold bottle of water waiting in my cupholder as I hopped back in my car. Michael and the rest of the service staff were extremely friendly and highly efficient, and I'm actually eager to return for my next service.

At this point, I honestly can't recommend Landers McLarty Subaru highly enough.

CO - Longmont - Valley Subaru - Sales

Sales: Ryan Hall
Service: N/A
Story: I'm 22, and Ryan let me test drive my BRZ with no hassle at all. He then gave me his best price up front (we negotiated a bit afterward, but not over a significant amount of money). He never lowballed me on my trade-in or tried to stick me with sticker price. He was courteous, communicative, and did everything in his power to make the sales experience positive on my end.

I was originally set to buy through them. Waited for a couple months for the car to come in with a signed agreement for the cars at MSRP with TTL and no other charges. They strung me along through a week worth of delivery delays (with very little communication) and the day it came in, they told me they were adding almost $1000 worth of extra charges that were non-negotiable and that all the other dealers around were charging thousands above MSRP (total lie). I told them I could go to Stamford or Milford and get it without the charges and asked them if they would honor our agreement, but the sales manager and owner both said no. I even told them at the end that if they didn't honor the agreement, I would absolutely hammer them online and they still decided to burn that bridge (my family has bought multiple cars from them before). On the plus side, that car sat on their lot for at least six months, which felt good. I assume they ended up selling it at or below what we had agreed on based on how long it sat in their inventory and they lost my whole family's business.
