Here's my video review of the SRT exhaust that I've had on the car for a week now.

Also, I don't post too many "text" updates in this journal but I'd just like to say this car is now everything I had hoped it would be. The SRT exhaust gave this car a whole new character to me and just made it a whole lot more fun. Honestly, just with the intake and exhaust I'm perfectly happy with the car, no need for further mods. I'm still considering a tune and a supercharger down the road, but I'm not sure if I want to do either. I love that the car currently runs a little rich with the exhaust, and I don't want the tune to lean it out (and thus remove the crackling and popping from the exhaust), and I don't want a supercharger to ruin the "rev the nuts off of it" fun that the car currently has.

hey man, i know you got a few videos of the lights on your car, but if it's not too much trouble, could you make one that demonstrates the headlight aim feature? like from the inside looking out?
thanks in advance!

i'd recommend a tune to gain the most out of it. you'll still get the crackling its not only about leaning it out its about a much smoother car.

as for superchargers, its not like a turbo that once you hit boost you're off. the supercharger the higher you rev the more boost you produce so supercharging will still give you that rev it out and use all for the power band drive-ability depending on how much power you want to make and what kind of charger it is. its still a very linear powerband.

how bad is that exhaust on long hihgway drives? i used to have a straight piped sti with an external wastegate, i very quickly ditched the loud catback after highway driving for a much quieter equally free flowing one, i dont want to make that same mistake with this car

Man this is verry very nice sounding. That NA boxer sound is more exotic in the world than any other engine note

It's the same as the STI. It's just a simple toggle with 5 settings for lower and higher. I never touch it. The only time you would use it is if you had 2 people sitting in the back seats or have the trunk fully loaded with stuff. I always keep it on the highest setting. And even the difference between 1 and 5 isn't huge. Not much to see.

Thanks for the input. If I would still get the crackling then I may just get a tune. I've been out of the loop on Visconti's updates, has he caught up with demand yet?

Also, thanks for the info about the supercharger, I'm interested in the Vortech one because of their impeccable reputation. I don't want anything extreme but a nice little power boost would be welcome.

I haven't taken a highway drive longer than 30 minutes in the car yet, but I'll be doing a 7 hour drive this weekend, so I'll get back to you on that, haha. Honestly, if you're just lightly pressing the throttle to maintain your speed on the highway (or using cruise control), the car is actually pretty quiet, it only gets loud when you go more than halfway on the throttle.

Well just did a 1,000 mile road trip this weekend, the exhaust will definitely leave your ears ringing after driving for 7 hours, even with the radio on, lol. I'm used to loud exhausts so it doesn't bother me, but if you're sick of loud cars, I'd go with the bigger resonator if you plan to do long trips in the car. I still love this exhaust, I can't get enough of the sound.

It's been a while since an update. Just passed 10,000 miles and I'm still loving the car, especially the sweet, sweet sounds coming out of that SRT exhaust

Had a little impromptu gathering with some of my friends a few days ago, thought some people here would like to see it, it shows off the SRT exhaust quite well, even in impressive company!
