Assuming you haven't driven a JDM Honda K20A or a slightly tuned F20C1? Now that thing is what you call NA power. Power band is amazing for a 2L NA.

Not saying that the FA20 is terrible, there are just faster and more advanced NA engines out there. They focused more on lowering the COG instead of building a tradtional motor. I'd almost be happier having a slightly higher center of gravity and Yamaha built high revving modern 3SGE Beams or something like a F22.

I have no regrets buying a FR-S. I'm boosted and can give many cars a run for it's money .

Considering their market, it took balls for them to tune it the way they did.

FRS should easily beat an Audi TT at an autocross event on a good concrete or asphalt surface given equal drivers. Autocross is about nimbleness and quickness in changing directions along with reading the course and knowing where to place the vehicle. An Audi TT is really at a serious disadvantage here. Width is a major thing in autocross...and the Audi TT is over 2.5" wider than the FR-S. Wider is not really better when it comes to threading a slolam, the key to the slolam (and chicane) is moving as little as possible. So the wider the car, the more you have to displace it from side to side. The straighter you can keep the car, the faster you can push.

Then again the driver does make a difference; like a good driver in a stock height 2.4L 4-cylinder Tacoma Extended cab beating about half the drivers at a 150+ driver events including those with Corvettes, Miatas, WRX's, S2000's, and BMW 3 series....

Weeeeee....
