Haven't worked out for about 8 months now and really feeling weird about going back to the gym.

This was me back in July.

Need to find some motivation.
You can start taking some mma classes or start wrestling again as a side hobby. What motivated you back than? Your big 3 is pretty good to if you can manage that at your current weight. Try to aim higher. You might have lost some muscle in the past 8 months but theres always muscle memory. Give it a month and your body will start readjusting exponentially.

I am not trying to be a **** here, and I feel your intentions are good, I just feel like you don't have enough experience to be giving good recommendations. You are giving advice based on VERY limited experience.

It is like me reading some forums on building an fa20, and coming here starting a thread saying "If you need advice on building an fa20 post here" "I have never built an fa20, I bolted on an intake, and header though".

Quite a bit of what I am reading in here is suspect, and highly questionable.

This advice was given to me from top class personal trainers and power lifters. If you really don't need help on working out please quit coming back here and starting some online war just to boost your own ego and stand over someone who's taking time to try to help others with the best of their knowledge. I haven't minded people taking over this thread to give advice but i don't like someone coming here and flaming on other's advice. please stop giving my advice a negative feed back. Either get in with the helping or just leave.

P.s Title says "I like fitness, ask me anything" not I'm a expert bodybuilder that has 100% guaranteed advice for everything that breathes.

Please tell me which top class powerlifter/trainer told you(Ie had a conversation with you) this stuff in regards to the Deadlift...

Here's a piece of valuable advice for you, and this applies to any area of your life. If you haven't done something, and have no first hand experience with something, say that. Don't give a regurgitated answer, with authority, as if the information was your own. And on top of that you don't even say "I have no/little experience with this but I read..... Or was told...."

Again, my goal isn't to be a **** to you, it's to make you think before you give advice "do I really have adequate first hand experience on this topic to be giving advice? ". Pretty simple. Sometimes the best advice is "I'm not sure but maybe (insert website) .com has some articles on that, check it out."

He does a pretty good job actually for the amount of experience he has.

And yes I do dead lift 600lbs raw @ 195lbs
Actually he answered the Deadlift question with authority. "the fastest way is to".." you have to"....." do this and this and this. And without even asking any pertinent information like "what's your current Deadlift" "what do you feel your weak points are " "post a video" etc.

Congrats on the 600lb dl. Have a video? What fed did you pull that in? We're in the same weight class.

I was hesitant about posting due to skepticism and because people claim outrageous bodyfat percentages like you mentioned. I have before and after photos but I don't feel like turning this into a bodybuilding.com current body thread.
Didn't mean to be a skeptic, was just curious, as a lot of people throw BF%'s around and have no idea what they are saying Congrats man, thats a hell of a jump. I had my BF% read in a bodpod a while back when I was losing weight. Did it right in the beginning, in the middle, and at the end.

34% - 16% (think it was 16) - 10%. Was a great feeling i'll tell you that. My LBM only went down a few pounds too, so I pretty much kept everything I had under my hibernation coating

Lucky for you it was only 50 bucks..first time cost me 125 then it went down to 100 since I was a repeat user.

This was a before pic of me at close to 290. after was when I was down to 10%. Bodpod read me at 196 pounds. Yes my dog totally photobombed the photo hahaha. This was taken close to 2 years ago now (damn). I have a front pic too but I don't want to turn this into a photo gallery.

Maybe we should open a new thread and call it 'the fitness thread' or something. And put links to legitimate advice like routines and food schemes in the first post. And if people still have questions or progress to show they can just post it in that thread. Just an idea btw? Or just say ... go to bb.com

When I was heavier. I can pull over 500 still but not this much anymore. Then again, I haven't really tried to work my numbers back up so maybe I could lol

Actually think there is already a workout thread on the forum already but most people don't search before they make new threads...

Thanks man. Although if I had to do it all over again I would have tried to get more reps on everything and then work my way back up in weight once I hit 135 lol.

I stopped with touch and go and do deadstop now. So much harder lol. But I needed to work on set up and keeping tight and touch and go really doesn't do anything for that since you have momentum helping out.

If I could still do 495 for even a few I would be very happy
