How do these turbos compare to the GTx28?
I'm hoping to hit 350whp someday, but probably will start out with what i can get on 91, then later upgrade clutch, radiator, oil cooler etc (Actually, radiator will go in when I do the turbo install). |

They have a higher flow rate and are larger. They will not spool as quickly. You can hit your goal with a properly sized gt28 and gtx28 series turbos but not on stock compression and 91 octane. If you plan on dropping compression and turning boost up I think it could be doable, no problem with the smaller turbos. Even with the larger turbo's and 91 octane you will not see that power on the stock compression. If e85 or meth injection is an option it will definitely help you get to your goal with stock compression.

I live close to Sears Point, so I can get race gas when I want, and WMI is also an option.
To start I'll probably go with a 91 tune and a race gas tune, then when I go for "stage 2" I'll add Meth and clutch and other parts to make it handle the bigger power safely. I know I won't be going crazy, I'll be happy if I get to 350 but will probably be fine with 275 for 91 and whatever I can get with WMI or race gas. |

Any idea what this kit weighs? I know power will trump the weight addition, but the fact it's all up front (like many kits), I just wonder what it does to the balance for handling with whatever extra weight is added.

*sigh* doesn't sound too promising for the 3-4 week estimate I received when I ordered mine 2 weeks ago.
