Just called a different dealer in my area and gave them the part# for the springs.

They said $287 but part is not available yet. Man getting a reliable price from Scion dealerships is like winning the lottery, never gonna happen!!!!!

I think it's just ridiculous that parts like these weren't available at launch. They have lost so much business as a result.

I wonder if getting these installed with void my Subaru BRZ warranty because they r not the ones selling it to me....anyone know anything about this?

Also, I do not have a Scion dealership where i live...and Toyota does not sell the FR-S. Think they would still be able to order these parts?

Yes and even more ridiculous that no struts are available.

You could probably haggle to get a free alignment considering all they do is throw it on the machine and you're already paying 500 for parts markup and labor.

edit: or at least a discounted alignment.

I've been wondering the same. The way I'm thinking is that the best protection I'll be able to get is talking with a service manager and verifying that TRD parts are covered by my Subaru warranty, as there's no way Subaru is going to cover a Scion dealer's install. TRD is Toyota, Scion doesn't actually make performance parts. Or really anything at all except glowing badges. So yeah you can get FR-S TRD stuff from Toyota.

Called the dealer I preorderd from yesterday and he told me the absolute soonest they would come in would be end of November and that was still just a guess.

He recommended that I get a refund and reorder when a firm data is announced. So I took his advice and will be redistributing those funds to a tune.

These are on my short list of upgrades simply because they are a TRD part and the car is still under warranty. I was leaning towards Hotchkis springs but these seem like a more legit deal as they can't say shit about voiding your warranty if installed.

Anyone hear an update on the TRD springs? I'm itching to get the car lowered but I'd like to have factory warranty that TRD would provide...
