Yumm.. Alpha Romeo 4C

I likey:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnuNv77rB0Q"]Alfa Romeo 4C First Drive, Road and Track. -- /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS - YouTube[/ame]

Looks like it could take the place of Lotus here in the US. Rumor has the car being priced in the $50-60K range in the US. This is the first Alpha Romeo I have wanted in a very, very, long time...

It'll be sold out before you know it. Limited production, for reasons i don't seem to fathom. (Or well just really hard to make a carbon fiber tub)

First year only 500 are coming, since they are only making 2500 a year, and i'm pretty positive this will be a 3 year only car. Maybe around 1500 will make it to the "foreign" shores?

I'm going to find the source if I can, so don't get your hopes up, but I swear I saw something that said a good chunk more than the original 500 were coming to the US.

It looks like the car is delayed and will not come to the US until Spring of 2014. The weight will also be 220lbs heavier for the US once they add all the additional safety gear. That will hurt performance some. I also wish the car was offered with a manual option...

Alfa Romeo 4c. The fastest nurbering lapse under 250hp

Now, BRZ should be aiming for this as well.

4c is priced at 54k with super car calss carbon fiber material, turbo, hand made, limited production, 3000 units a year globally, and a great balance that does nurburing in 8 minutes. That is super car territory.

If Ft86 does not change anything, i can see that they are loosing the market soon

At $54k, this is really competing more with the Cayman, Boxster, Corvette, and the new BMW 2M (as well as several others in that price range), rather than the FR-S/BRZ.
