Yeah we have 1 I think here that is shared with an Isuzu dealership, and its in a run-down part of town.

Earthquake my ass. People(not you) should look at the Calender Year to Date for Mitsubishi, Subaru, Nissan, Honda and Suzuki. The still had an increase in sales over the months since last year where Toyota has decreased.

The majority of the June 2010 and June 2011 figures all JPN manufacturers increase in sales(except Honda and Toyota). Nissan, Hyundai and Kia is a contributor to that as well as Honda and Toyota in need of model line-up refresh. But Honda still in CYtD sales did increase unlike Toyota.

^Its entirely possible that these numbers are skewed based on which cars from each of the "Japanese" lineups are actually produced in Japan. Everything I've read so far shows the disaster affecting Toyota more than Honda or Nissan but I'm still trying to figure out why. Whatever the reason, production estimates for the entire company are expected to drop from 7.7m to 6m, or 22%.

If they are able to build the tC with all it's standard features, 18s, performance drivetrain and style for $19k. Then they can surely make a smaller, basic, but fun sports coupe that is shared with another automaker(Subaru) to be sold for $19k That's the way I look at it. So then I'm adding a $2-3k for the consumer niche product "cool idea bro" markup, lol. They will make more profit on this car sale for sale over the tC, almost enough to cover another car in the line up shortcomings If it's priced at $24-25k.

*Cliffs, It costs less to make the FR-S than the tC, especially when it's a joint platform.

Don't forget that most of Toyota's cars right now are coming to the end of their model cycle, decline is inevitable.

Don't forget that the tC also comes with a CD Player and the sunroof that probably costs them quite a few $ to make. I am hoping it would be somewhere around 22-23k

Yeah those are standard, so they are considered my standard features in my sentence. I'd hope people would know about the panoramic moonroof vs hardtop. Or a 5 seater versus and 2+.5/.5 seater. And FFS let it be a hatch or liftback(although not confirmed yet), every Scion in the line-up is a hatch. The celica had one, ae86 had one, supra had one. Makes loading a set of wheels and aluminum jack soo much easier.

I was mentioning those just in case. Although you brought up a very good point... how will the trunk be open?

I am also wondering how much smaller will those back seats be...

Hopefully, regardless of size, they're easy to remove.

Seriously though. Look at where the front driver seat ends and where the back windows are. Unless there is a hidden cave there which leads to the trunk, I would guess that you won't be able to fit much more than a set of golf clubs... and I don't mind that at all

They'll find a way. As per usual with cars like this, they leave something like 3 inches between the back of the front seat and the rear seat.
