Many US States do not issue a plate for some time after you buy the car. He just bought the car so may need to wait for the plate.

There is zero requirement to know how to drive MT in North America in order to get a driver licence.

On the plus side we do not need to avoid kangaroos

LOL. I meant on the roads not that awkward few days after the hookup where you meet them on the street and you never called back even though you promised you would sort of thing. But if that is weighing on you then maybe, just maybe...

More like people I know criticism. Your a car enthusiast and BRZ owner. They aren't on your level. Not peers.

Btw I'm 30, married with three kids, and we have a 2014 corolla and a BRZ.

One thing nice about getting older is that you do not give a rat's ass what other people think about your car buying habits. You buy what you want.

When my "peers" start paying for my cars then they can critique my choices.

I'd look at this article. It's from Real Men Real Style. I like most of what this guy does.

There are ways to make any car "look" professional or unprofessional. I hate it when people just say one particular car puts off a certain image. I've met just about every kind of driver for about every kind of car.

To make your car look "professional", make sure it's cleaned regularly. Doesn't have to be a full detailing every week. But make sure it's not covered in dust and bird poop. Keep any modifications classy and conservative.

Keep in mind that how you drive is as important as what you drive. Remember the Ferrari/Supra race in The Fast and The Furious? If I were the minivan they split around for their little race I would have thought both of them were major a-holes regardless of which car looked more "professional".

I love my BRZ. I don't know if/when I'll get rid of it. But it sure won't be because of any "age-range" it implies.
