Surely you jest? You think the interior on the FRS is better than the Genesis Coupe...is this real life or have you just not actually seen the interior of the genesis... I will say the overall exterior of the FRS/BRZ I like more, but I think the rear end of the Genesis beats the FRS/BRZ, it is also a smaller car so it looks a little better |

The 2013 Genesis Coupe interior is nicer. I've driven a 2013 3.8 Rspec and own a 2010 3.8 Track. The 2013's interior is a big improvement from the earlier GCs but the seats in the FRS/BRZ are better, the instrument cluster is personal preference (which I prefer the FRS), and the center controls for HVAC etc are definitely cheaper feeling/looking in the twins as well. However the twins don't have the stupid torque and mileage gauges which I've never understood the point of and are perfectly located where it would be difficult to use while driving down the road for hyper-miling. Each car has their strengths and Hyundai certainly has their weaknesses too. If you don't believe me go autocross one in bone stock form and see how that works out for you. The Genesis is more muscle car to the Twins Miata like character.

I see exactly where the OP is coming from. It's been said on this forum many of times how people would like it to have about 50hp more than what it has. Then, everyone comes crawling out of the woodwork saying the car is "perfect how it is", "made to handle and not straight line performance" and "OMG IT'S THE BEST IN THE TWISTYYYZ". The FRS/BRZ is a "light" car, but really, it is't AS light as people are making it out to be. And yes, it would be nice to have a little bit more power Everyone has their own opinion. I think the FRS/BRZ is a good car for the people that love it. It's not for people that want fast 0-60 or top end speed. It's more like a hardtop, slower s2000. |

I wish the frs came with at least 350hp or something :/ especially for its price range. But honestly I think the car looks freaking badass!!!

I just don't think it needs that kind of power. Just 50ft/lbs of torque would be huge or even completely dialing out the dip at 4k would help a ton.

Hmm.. Can i please have a show of hands for who bought this car for its amazing SPEED torque and hp?
Oh.. thats right, people buying this car aren't buying it for the numbers are they.. We know its slow. Thank you for the review though. Would I be happier with more torque? Oh yes.. Do it need it? Nope.. at least not yet (; |
