Yeah, you should be able to acquire one from the dealer, or you can just reuse the stock one. I'm sure it will work.

Would this with the helmholtz resonator reduce (or possibly even eliminate?) drone on my Invidia N1?

Does any of the O2 sensors go into this thing? Doesn't look like it from the pictures but just double checking.

Thank you!
I wouldn't worry about the cat's lifespan, but in regards to emissions you have a few years before it's an issue. Many folks keep their stock exhaust bits on hand to swap for smog checks, but since there are no more tailpipe tests this may not be an issue as long as you have no CELs.

O2 sensors are in the header.

I/my shop ordered a catless 3'' front/overpipe for my BRZ that's getting an FB turbo kit installed.

The pipe that showed up was catted-DOH! Nameless built and sent out a catless pipe very quickly.

Unfortunately, the front flange is not straight, resulting in a huge exhaust leak. Big bummer, my car's been in the shop over a month now. The pipe delay ran into the holidays, holding everything up an extra 2 weeks.

My shop is going to try a thicker gasket, if that doesn't work they're going to have it repaired.

Fitment was good, but the flange is crooked.

The Tomei 80R exhaust sounds sweet until things heat up and the leak starts making noise.

I can't wait til it's all done.

My 2.5" DP fit perfect...

I think every shop has a few problems.

I might be wrong, but I think my Catless pipe was the first they've made, custom ordered, and maybe the jig was made for catted so might be different.

Yeah I think only a few 3 inch versions were made prior to the release. Might have all been catted.

So I did a quick search and read of this thread about the catless version and see people saying, "Why go catless when it doesn't increase gains?" And to be honest, up until about a week ago I was perfectly content with getting the catted version, but now I'm curious about the sound (plus saving $100 on the catless version is nice too.)

My setup will most likely be the FT86Speedfactory header, catless because the catted version is pretty quiet. This OP/DP combo, resonated, but catless. And the PERRIN 2.5" resonated catback. I'm hoping keeping the resonators will prevent rasp, but I wish I could find some examples of the way this pipe sounds.

If you go with a catless header, you could get away with a catless front pipe with a resonator. If you get a resonated front pipe, it acts almost like a catted one, but probably a bit better. Helmholtz is just simply for drone. You'll just have the smelly exhaust with no cat present. I opted for the cat in the front pipe for both the sound muffle and also if I happen to get a sniffer test in my area in the future at some point, I can pass easily.
