I figured it was all the safety stuff, but nothing to the engine(if not mild modifications)? I mean the last thing you'd want to do is make an unreliable track car...right?

Reliability is the number one thing for any race car or track car. Don't spend the money for a track weekend if you aren't confident the car can survive the weekend reliably. I am not sure exactly what you are referencing though. The S2000 is my track/time attack/time trials car and the SpecE30 is my racecar where I race wheel to wheel.

I was referencing like mild NA buuld, nothing like billet crank and cam shafts, over bored valves and port & polish with a motec ecu lol.

The FA22C1 is a built motor. Why do all that stuff when power is a simple ECU change away since I will be running Hondata FlashPro with the PWM circuit added to do ECU controlled boost? This way I can just throw another one in if anything happens. I saw a motor and tranny for $1800 a couple weeks ago that I was tempted to go pick up in Tennessee.

We aren't allowed to do anything to the SpecE30 motor really other than rebuild it to OEM specs, and that is what I had done with a simple set of 20 overbore pistons and a new OEM camshaft and rockers.

I was only worried about where the hell I would store the engine and tranny. I still have the soft top sitting in my kitchen because I haven't found a better place to put it. Gonna sell it, hoping to get $700 for it.

Updates:

Ohlins R&T DFVs installed
Stoptech Trophy Front Kit installed
Hyperco 700 front and 600 rear springs arrived
APR GT250 Wing ordered

I will try to get some more recent pics taken soon. I am still on the fence as to what turbo kit I am going to purchase. I have gone from SoS to Full Race to PRL Motorsports to SoS to PTuning. I only want to do it once, and I want to do it right.

I am learning that driving the S2000 is not as easy as I was expecting. While I am quick, I don't feel like I am getting the most out of the car or have gotten anywhere close to mastering it. I would like to get closer to mastering it before I add a substantial amount of power though. Might AutoX it this weekend, and next track day planned is Memphis in April.

I never got to track the BRZ, and I don't push my cars to the limit or past the limit on the street. My understanding is that the BRZ is easier to drive fast than an S2000. I will figure out the S2000 and get it tuned to where it inspires confidence as that is when the fastest laps will be set.

APR GT250 67" wing installed. Here are some photos:

I still have a set of 700 front and 600 rear Hyperco springs ready to go on. I have ordered a PTUNING turbo kit, and I should have it by the end of April. I have injectors ready to be installed, and will be getting my boost, AFR, oil temp, and oil pressure gauges installed soon. Planning on heading up to Atlanta Motorsports Park for the iTrack Motorsports Time Attack event this Sunday. I got instructor certified with Just Track It at Barber Motorsports Park last month, and I am signed up to get NASA instructor certified at Memphis International Raceway in April. The build is coming together quicker than I expected it to. I should have plenty of time to get the car dialed in this year before really competing in NASA TT3 next season.

It was a dream of mine to own one after owning a Triumph Speed Triple. I miss the power of the Inline 3, but I love the looks of the Monster 1100 Evo. The last of the big engine air cooled Ducati motors.

Somehow I missed this thread. Great looking AP2, sure makes me miss mine. It's the one car I regret getting rid of. Too bad the used prices on well maintained S2Ks keeps going up. Sigh.
