Nope. As soon as I got in though, it's one of those cars where it feels amazing off the bat.

I drove it around the dealerships lot... granted it was short... but I didn't stall it (heard that many people did on there first time due to the light clutch) and found the sitting comfortable...

I would have tested other cars, but I hate the genesis new look, hate mustangs with a passion, and everything else is out of the budget...

You can tell one whole heck of a lot by driving a car around the block or down the interstate a ways - unless you are totally numb or not paying any attention. I have tried out quite a few new and used cars off of the dealer lots and many of them were dogs. How can anyone buy a car based on things you read on the internet? It might have been a good car for the peckerwood who wrote the review but is it right for YOU?

I did buy a BRZ, but only after a very thorough test drive without the sales drone being present. It was a preorder but I could have refused it. I drove it on the roads I am usually on. I don't like everything about it, but after almost a year I am mostly pleased with the car. I could have bought several different vehicles I tried out and did not like. They got great reviews.

Honestly when I went to the dealer I was only "looking" and the sales man asked if I drove one yet. At the dealership closer to my house they wouldn't even bring that up unless you were seriously buying. Needless to say the car sold it self the minute I hopped in for the test drive. Also was my first time driving anything manual in a while so it was quite a funny test drive ><

Mine was on order when I went to test drive one. I knew right away I had made the right decision. My dad was in the car and were blown away. I wasn't allowed to do anything extreme but we were amazed by the steering as it tore through some roundabouts. That, the harsh nuggety boxer growl, and the sleek looks were all it took to convince us. What sealed the deal for me was the 2 flared wheel arches you can see over the bonnet. Those just looked so... ferocious. And I had never been in a car with something like that before.

I fit in the car fine, it looks good and the opinions that mattered said the car worked...so i flew to denver and bought the car as soon as what i wanted was available, july 2nd last year,

Anything that would have been a "deal breaker" as far as the car itself went could be fixed...there's nothing that can't be fixed, and you just have to love the car,

Thats similar to my experience. I went out on Friday to test drive the new Civic Si's and saw this and figured I would stop by. I had time to kill and really just wanted something to do. I knew I wanted the car and worked up a plan to talk the wife into it. I just bought myself a 2013 Escape that I hated. She talked me into trading my Sonata Turbo in for that. I felt like a soccer mom.

So I traded her old Corolla in for my new Scarlet beauty.

My RSX had broke down and really needed a car. Scion is actually the closest dealership from my house. Test drove it, but I was more worried about driving stick since it was my first time.

But I still drove it and then drove it home!

It seems crazy to me to not test drive a vehicle first. I waited for this car since 09 when I read about its development online. Waited until I saw a red one, but my DD was still running great so couldn't justify it. Saw another red one months later, was considering a mazda3 and a WRX wagon as well. Stopped at the Scion dealer first. Never test drove the other cars. My test drive was pretty awesome too, my salesperson was a girl of about 21 who was pretty cute, guided me to an area where she said there was rarely traffic and said "You can drive however, just don't kill me".
