Are you talking about the chirping? I had them replace the high pressure fuel pump under warranty and it fixed the chirping. The problem is that the chirping will come back. Mine did in about 2000 miles with the new pump.

Also, you can change the tune back to stock when you bring the car in should you ever need to.

So what's the solution? I know there's a thread about this issue but its way too long and when started reading it I couldn't find a straight answer (no solution???)

Just went back to the thread and that's the consensus. Hopefully the 2014 MY Will come with new fuel pump with no chirp noise and they will replace defective ones with new one bc this shit is annoying *crossing fingers*

The crickets don't bother me. I just had the pump changed because I was afraid it would get worse. It hasn't.

Prolly because you have some go-fast mods like header and exhaust that overtake the chirp but for us stock people it makes the car seem like a pos not cared for clunker. My car just broke 1k and sounds like it has squeaky belts or something is wrong with the engine.. NOT COOL on a brand new car! It's embarrassing to pull up anywhere

Intake will not void out warranty..it depends what problem you may have with your car. Look up the Magnuson Warranty Act. The dealership has to provide proof that what you did to the car resulted in failure to whatever. IF your tranny goes out for example and you have a full CAI. This will not void out your warranty. The only thing for sure to void out warranties is turbo or supercharger but an intake exhaust coils any basic bolt ons should not void out warranty unless something goes wrong with lets say you put coils and your bushings go out..thats on you. But otherwise you should be all good.

as for intake..look into getting the full PERRIN CAI+inlet hose. Very good investment. You would spend about the same for a trd intake and all you get from a trd intake is a bigger box and a better filter for 400$ might as well go with the perrin. Deletes the sound resonator and cleans out your engine bay good. check em out. No tune required straight bolt on and no negative battery ecu reset like injen. True bolt on and CAI

I do not want to do a tune, as I don't want to void the warranty. I also do no want this thing to run lean from mods, either. I've been looking at the AEM "tuned" intake, but I think I'm as skeptical as everyone else. Thanks in advance.
Get a drop-in air filter and an intake inlet tube from Perrin. Good sound, deletes the sound tube, and helps just as much as the best aftermarket intake systems. Then get a Unichip tune. For around $400, you have a Unichip EMS that can hold 2 maps (5 with a Flux2 unit) and it's free to interchange those maps with any from their download site, but you need the download cable. It's a piggyback tune that doesn't flash the ECU, so the dealer can't tell, and you can take it off within 5-10 minutes before you go to the dealer.

Nope not yet with the mods. They're on order and I only notice the chirping when stopped.

Wow, that's a lot of info. Thanks guys. My chirping seems worse than the videos I've seen, so as soon as I get a chance, I'll be taking it in. The plug and play tune doesn't sound too bad. I'll be researching a bit more today if work stays slow. Thank goodness for industry-wide conferences; helps get car parts ordered, haha.

Yeah, but guys in my old TBSS community had their warranties voided by dealerships for intakes, etc, and they were blacklisted after that. One guy kept his truck bone stock and had his voided, but I have no idea what happened to him. The Act seemed to be ignored and I think they'd rather go to court than replace a $4K transmission. Maybe it's just a GM thing. Crappy cars, crappy service... GM. Scion is a bit better, speaker rattles on the driver's side, but that's the least of my worries.

I am Running a Drop in and perrin inlet tube. i did not require a tune, i just reset the ECU. But recently i bought p&L headers and Nameless front pipe. I feel the gains on the butt dyno, but after the mod, i feel like i really need the tune then before. Right now i am just running on the stock ecu tune until i can buy a tune.
