That's where I grab it to swing the door closed getting out.

Thought they did that on purpose so you don't swing it with the window.

I'm not the only one to point this out see:

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/carg...nd_bmw_m3.html
I have never seen EVO praise anything that isn't a ten-tenths car. And as a frequent driver of older vehicles (Including E30s-- Don't forget the M3 has different ratios and a different rack, and the rest are pretty pedestrian) I have to disagree. I can feel the traction through the front tyres better in the ZN6 than anything I've driven unless you go back to stuff like 105s and old, old cars with rack and pinion, a short travel and no power steering.

Most modern cars just feel weak as hell in this regard. And it's worth noting the Clio Cup is a dressed up race car (the extra feel comes from ridiculosprings) and the Type R is EVO's baby (have you ever heard them say a bad thing about it? Once? Even though it's getting old and rattly in any incarnation?)...

Comparing the M3 is just apples and oranges. You can't even get a used E92 for ZN6 money here, try and find a first-gen in the country. And the Clio is too much, I test-drove one with the intention of saving myself a six-month wait and just found myself hating it over real world roads.

In short, what I'm implying is that EVO are just not the sort of people to understand what makes the 86 a great car out in the real world-- they have their semi-closed roads and track sessions, and don't get that driving this car to work, makes driving to work fun.

EDIT; Also, the new MX5? Ugh, the steering has similar feel but that's not the whole story. The rear end lets go on you a little unexpectedly compared to ZN6, where you can pick the angle with the throttle. That might be a function of tyres, I guess I'll see-- but it's not something I'm a fan of (It's certainly not the same as my Silvia, which is more communicative). And the thing rolls too much. Yes, more than ZN6.

I'm probably going to install some Mitsuba Alphas I bought at some stage to fix this. I'd prefer an Italian style "GTFO!" to the "Hi!" this car has.

I hate hitting birds on the country roads and use the horn from way back to warn them to get out of the way. This horn has them looking to see if one of their mates is flying in?
Where's the canary?

Stebel Natutilus make a great low cost air horn. Been putting them on motorcycles to upgrade the whimpy beep.

Can get a couple with different tones for greater effect. And - they're Italian.
Available at most domestic auto parts stores.

Might have to see about finding them locally (I'm in AU). They might turn up in Japan as well, being Italian. They love their Italian parts.

I'm going to post a before and after for the Alphas. They're pretty cheap. Let me know if you want a set (going back in June)-- watch this space.

Thanks for the offer but I think a couple of these will be good enough for me.

Even if it was flushed, wouldn't you still grab it to close. If the door jam and hinges were good, it wouldn't hit anything. To me, it just looks unproportional when body lines don't match up correctly.

I know heated seats are optional but...

You mean... the FRS doesn't have standard heated mirrors?

I don't care for the passenger seat sensor... Have to buckle up my dog. He looks at me every time like wtf? Also transporting race tires I ended up sticking one in the passenger seat, had to buckle it up. Last thing the seat needs to tip further back, my legs are off the seat about an inch at the end, where my thigh is, I'm 6'6". But I got ac and power locks that's more than my 93 si hatch had, so I'm happy.

Ours comes with a basic radio no touch screen no bluetooth just a simple monochrome lcd screen. No amp in the trunk. No midrange speakers in the dash. It's just plain bad lol.

Hope to get the oemaudio system soon
