That's news to me! I'll have to look into this - I have a road trip to northern california this year and I'd love to be able to run e85 the whole way!

Dynojet has been doing load control for quite a few years. You could state that while all Mustang, Dynapack, and Muststang dynos have load control as standard, it is optional on the Dynojet.

Thats why i mentioned the ones we have around here are all older non load control ones. We have a dynapack across the parking lot so thats what i'm most familiar with.

The older dynodynamics software (that spits out plot like those in this thread) are very accurate when you use a 1.0 correction factor, so accurate that they are often proclaimed to be heartbreaker dynos because in that mode they read about 12 - 15% lower than dynojet and lower than most mustangs... That said.. they are also the easiest to inflate.. pick up the keyborad, hit the x key, enter desired correction factor, do another run . To combat this, dyno dynamics offers shoot out mode, which is a standardized mode that is not user correctable and prints out all the correction data on the plot. It produces numbers that are VERY close to crank HP numbers though.

@skatery1989
Amazing numbers man, im sure it pulls like a freight train. Still not sure what the issue was with your orginal tune when you dynoed it, it was either pulling timing or had not learned the timing advance. Regardless, looks very happy now on the corn juice, new compressor and pulley :happy0180: . Have you talked to vortech or perrin about running a wastegate to get more boost earlier in the rpm range?

This car would break 400whp easy on a dynojet, and probably 430whp on a Dynopack.
This is true only if the runs were done in Dyno Dynamic's shootout mode which locks the user from changing any settings or playing any games. If the dyno runs were done in Shootout mode it would say it on the chart. Shootout mode reads very low in comparison to say Dynojet, probably lower than a Mustang by a bit.

That being said since the dyno was not done in shootout more there is a correction factor that can be adjusted by the dyno operator. We find most Dyno Dynamics run with a .15 correct faction which makes them read similar to a Dynojet. However without knowing what correction factor was used for this it is tough to compare this to other dyno's numbers as it could be high or low. We had this same style Dyno Dynamics dyno for many years here.

OP skatery1989 Awesome I bet the car flys! No matter what factors are in use, I have no doubt this car makes good power. However I would love for you to ask the dyno operator what correction factor they use, or even better if you could go back and do some pulls in "shootout mode" to get a solid baseline to judge your cars power against.

Great job,
Adam

^That's my whole point. Trying to compare dynos from 3 different cars on 3 different dynos is pointless.

Ususally numbers are corrected.... so it would make same numbers but would actually be a shit ton faster at sea level. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
