Force induction delays?
Besides Avo,Vortech,P-tuning,and other Stateside manufactures what the hell is taking big name companies like Greddy, Hks , Blitz to develop and release Turbo and Superchargers to the masses.
I'm getting bored of waiting and the car has been out close to a year already! I feel like the Market is growing too slow. Do we have to wait 2-3 yrs before everything comes out? Sorry for the ranting but there are a lot of us that will love to spend money on our cars and there are very few options so far to make a solid choice.

Market it growing too slow? This aftermarket is growing faster than my d*ck in the Playboy Mansion.
A few big companies are on there way but i've never seen an aftermarket for a car grow quite like this. Give it another 6 months and everything you could possible imagine will be available for this car.

OP it sounds like you are talking about innovate performance and their twin screw SC which won't show numbers until it actually makes some power... so you'll probably never see it lol.

The quality on the Full Blown kit looks 10x better than the Greddy one will probably be. I had a Greddy kit on my 03 Civic, and it was like a very mild street kit. Intercooler piping looks cheap and the manifold itself cracked after not much use at all. Plus, the turbo they're going to use is supposed to be a t518z, similar to what was on that Civic kit. Probably won't put down the biggest numbers at 7 psi or whatever it comes set for.
In my opinion the kits that are out already are just as quality if not more. There's a couple cents for ya. (I haven't had much relevant stuff to post about, had to start somewhere) |

1-I'm a huge fan of german, japanese and (used to be lastly)USA metalurgy. Problem is fewer and fewer components are made in these countries nowadays based on cost.
I'm from India. heres a bit of Trivia: Indians export 70% of our steel ores to Japan. Do you know less than 10% indian steel goes into japanese motor making? The rest is used for other uses, but the refinement specs are so high. My family back in india used to do trucking services for Tata Steel etc to and from ports and rail stations. Japan sells their steel refinery products to their subcontinent-so what they dont use gets sold and used for other manufacturing. Its like when I buy a TV or VCR, if always spy Japanese product over Singapore, Korea, Thai, Mexico, Brazil. Most Garrett are mexican. Nothing wrong with stuff from these countries, just pointing out a metallurgy and refinery to cost relationship. 2-Shipping kits made of converged components when some parts are sourced overseas, well delay is expected both now and perhaps even later when you need a part thats not in stock in their warehouse. For me, I tend to be intolerant of downtime, so make sure you factor this in when both choosing your vendor and your kit 3-I agree, greddy and some eastern companies have been reacting to the economic downturn in a way sometimes US made and sourced product from someone like Fullblown now exceeds the quality of Greddy, who in their heyday were top notch, now adays I am not as sure anymore. 4-In most of the foreign made stuff, you often see deposits, why? its fundraising, delays are to justify the risks, collect deposits it is not so they put money IN the bank, its to get wheels turning across the pond. manufacturing abroad needs this when its acros several vendors for product. Alot of delays are not tuning delays, they are deals, money, contracts etc, so keep that in the back of your head too, both at product inception,and years later when you need a part. I have a HKS setup in one of my older cars, and even they no longer have parts for a kit they made 10 years back. Going to smaller vendors runs the risks of their parts or their availability whether its US or abroad, it gets even more challenging. Well funded companies weather the storms decade after decade. Seems USA made metalurgy is an area some vendors have not compromised, and product delays are not endemic to the usa based market for our cars as much it seems. It seems everyone is saying good things about Full blown(turbo) and Vortech(SC) and its quality. Coming from people that already have purchased the product means a lot to me! Thanks for all the constructive advice! Cheers

Honestly, when choosing forced induction, I'd consider your application first- what do you want to use it for? Track, Autocross, Drag strip, Highway Racing...? How much power do you want/need? Or more appropriately, what power to weight ratio do you need?
