Take an ap physics/calculus class and you will realize math has very little to do with numbers

Number theory, analysis, everything else is much more general. Number theory is actually a lot more about algebra (which doesn't mean symbolic manipulation fyi), than about "quantifyable" things. Algebra deals with structure, which really has nothing to do with "numbers". Topology is also completely removed from "numbers". Set theory/metamathematics/logic is even further removed.

My only concern is the lack of torque. I had same problem with my track car mazda RX8. I would rather have less hp but more torque. I just hope the rigid chassis and the less weight of the car make up for the power.

I believe that the 16" steelies are like the stripped-out Spec tC they had a couple years back.

Not always. When it comes to cars though, we get well and truly shafted, almost as bad as Singapore.

Cars. I know high end MTB and road bikes as well. I know for road bikes I hear of guys paying 50-100% more than I pay here in US.

At least i'm an adult and don't use public roads for racing so every trafficlights is not a startingrid for me. And every roundabout is not made for powerslides... But this car is still made for public roads, right?
Again, I disagree. IMO, you don't need much torque or power driving around town... when I originally got my MX5, I figured I'd boost it, but after a few months with it I realized it has decent-enough pull. I've never have any problem passing or keeping up in traffic (and contrary to what many assume about the MX5, it doesn't need to be constantly flogged).

Yes, you need to run through the gears, but that's part of the fun. Anyone who considers shifting a chore is going to be disappointed with the FT.

I think something like Peugeot RCZ (probably not sold in the US) has would've been brilliant. 1,6 turbo 200hp, 275nm torque from 1700rpm. Efficient and doesn't have to be trashed like mad to keep up a decent pace.
You're right in that a 1.6T probably wouldn't add much mass, and the ~33% more torque would of course be nice. But it would also mean lag, cost, and complexity while having little or no increase in peak power.
